Well hate is a strong word - so no i don't hate Muslims - but i don't agree with the way they force their religion on the UK - and some sections in the UK want to bring sharia law to their communities - so some ppl here are wondering how long will it be until it takes us over. You only have to look the net or watch TV to see there are a lot of Muslims in the UK who's aim is to convert the world to their ways - and some ppl here can see the danger...
A lot of us feel our free speech is slowly diminishing - b/c it seems anyone who disagrees with Islam is in danger of a punishment....
We see Muslims calling for beheadings and other deaths to non- Muslims - so what do you think we should do - just let it happen - you asked the question - do you have an answer?

I have gone to schools with Muslims. I get along with many Muslims. There is no hate. I don't hate Muslims, especially the women who are the ones who suffer most under Islam. I used to defend Islam and say the same things as you when I was 15. But now that I've read the Qu'ran and read about the life of Mohammed I can say is truly a religion that has brought on many disasters. The only who I hate is Mohammed. I see Muslims as the victims of this stupid belief system.

If I saw a Muslim smile at me I'd smile back. Many people are prejudice against Muslims and they have many reasons to be so. Sure, the overwhelming majority of Muslims are normal, everyday people just trying to live their lives in peace and prosperity. Then you turn on the TV and see a British school teacher get 13 days in jail because one of her students named a Teddy Bear "Mohammad" and outside the jail there is a mob chanting for her death. The terrorists may not be practicing real "Islam" but they sure think they are!

I'm going to give you my direct opinion I won't lie. I Have tried to make Friends with some Muslims but it never worked out you see When tried to make friends with some females who are Muslims they were so mean and kept to themselves. But I don't hate Muslims their situation is that it just so happened that a few idiotic people who were Muslims did terrorist acts and so people just thought all Muslims were this way. For example before someone might have been friends with a Muslim but when the terrorist stuff happened and let's say that someone had a family member who died because of those acts of terrorism because they can't find the one who did this to their family member they hate everyone who has anything in common with the terrorist (in this case being Muslim) you may think

I certainly don't. However, it depends on how extremely they take their religion- want to kill Jews and Hindus etc. Of course, in Palestine, you have to sympathise as there are lots of other issues. Most Muslims are totally tolerent of other religions- it's very often over exaggerated by the media. Sometimes it can be difficult for Muslims to manage their beliefs/religion in western society. I use my local Muslim shop as I love the chillis and spices he sells, but the first time I went in he just left me at the counter and didn't serve me. I later found it was due to his beliefs about mixing with women alone etc, especially non- muslim women. I'm glad I didn't do that to him in a shop I owned or I'd been had up for racial discrimination- in this country women are equal so I felt like I'd gone back in time to medieval times. I though my great uncle had died in the 2nd world war to secure our uk freedoms. However, my husband still shops in there and they are becoming good friends, so I have taken no offence, but it can be daunting to people who live in a free society and do not totally understand the faith. Also my friend at uni went to a restaurant as she had been invited by some Muslim students and had half a lager at the table- they found this very offensive. However, they let it go and asked her to look after a Muslim girl and show her around the uk so she could be supervised. It's all fine, but sometimes I would like to feel that my values are taken in to consideration in a country I was born in, as I would hope to adhere to Muslim laws/society norms in Muslim countries. It's all about tolerance. We can learn from each other, but neither should try and dominate the other. I also appreciate that many Muslims are born here and therefore British and deserve a say in how things are run and their culture respected. But lets get rid of all these ghettos- and please if you are Muslim- mix more. Have a coffee with some non muslims- it needn't be in a pub etc. Otherwise, how can people ever make friends and understand the people that live close to them better.

Well no. I have muslim friends just like I have christian friends. And I really appreciate the spiritual discussions I've had with some of them.
And I do understand that not all muslims are terrorists (most are not obviously), but I won't accept the idea that terrorists aren't muslims. In principle my attitude towards islam is comparable to my attitude towards christianity (as in, it's not for me, but whatever floats your boat), but some of you still need to wrap your head around the fact that you can't stop us making fun of you! Most christians have grudgingly accepted that, but (some) muslims still have a thing or two to learn about accepting a joke. The whole Danish cartoon thing for example: even though the cartoons were in bad taste, the reaction was quite uncalled for. Of course the christian reaction to monty python's life of brian and Andres Serrano's piss christ wasn't too polite either, but I still think there is a substantial difference in the way christians and muslims react to such prongings.

I certainly do not discriminate against Muslims - I have my own business and many of my suppliers are Muslim's - I go to visit them each year in their country and I have to say that all Muslims I have met have been lovely people - just like any other person. People generally are nice whatever their relgion it is just the extremes that ruin it for everyone else.
Unfortunately, you also have the situation where the minority ruin it for the majority. I do feel that muslims are sometimes perceived as being extreme and not wanting to integrate into society. I often feel that their community leaders are not always quick enough to condem suicide bombers etc and will justify their actions by saying that they are ostracised from our society and that's why they turn extreme - in other words justifying their behaviour. This is wrong, the muslim leaders have to stamp on extreme behaviour - it is not doing their society any good. Certainly, issues like the teddy bear called Mohammed are absolutely ridiculous and damage relations - that said, on this occasion it is nice to see that the muslim and islamic organisations in the UK have been very quick to voice their support for the teacher. There is good and bag in everyone - we have to remember that.

I'd smile back at anyone who smiled at me, whatever the religion. Most of the time you can't tell anyway. I used to babysit for a Muslim family and they were the nicest people I ever met. Islam is generally a really pleasent religion I've found out - apart from the few who give it a bad name. This family give about 20% of their earnings to charity and really contribute to village life. Which is more than I can say for a lot of people I know.

Maybe some people just need to get over the fact that terrorists are terrorists. You can't blame an entire race for a small group of actions. Islam is a peaceful religion, in no way does it support war. Some extremists have just interpreted wrongly just like extremists of any religion. Hating all muslims for being terrorists is so wrong to say that all white people are apart of the KKK.

I'm getting tired of these kinds of questions. No not all people hate muslims. Don't you think there are muslims that probably hate other people? Of course there are, because muslims are also HUMAN. Hating is human nature, and unfortunately it is something that we can't get rid of. People will hate for various reason, and people will hate no matter what your race, nationality, religion etc is. Do I believe that there are some Muslims who are terrible people? Yes I do. Just like I believe there are people of EVERY OTHER race, nationality, religion, etc who are terrible. Do I hate these people that do awful things? No I don't. I pray for them to change their bad ways though. Even though we all know it's wrong, most people do hate an do horrible things and will continue to.
A better question to ask would be..."why do people hate other people?" It isn't the rest of the world against muslims. It's the world against the world and that is sad. People need to start realizing that we are all THE SAME. We all hurt the same, we all bleed the same. A peaceful world, with no hate and only love, is a utopian ideal, sadly.
Love one another.
Imagine all the people...living life in peace...You may say that I"m a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. I hope some day you will join us, and the world will live as one.
I also agree with "Puterprs" below me. Staying silent when something wrong is going to be done, or has been done is one of the worst things mankind does.
