Why are churches threatened by it? Don't they know that if you have too much of anything...you tire of it, and move on?

To forbid it seems to me, to be counter-productive.

Am I wrong?

This question was asked and sooo many of the answers are how its wrong to push our beliefs on others. How many times have you had beliefs pushed on you by others, really?

It seems to be we are at the point where if anyone dares to try to share or talk about their religion with anyone then they are being pushy.

The topic of religion comes up a lot in casual conversation. Missionaries of all religions are out sharing their message. Who cares. If you dont want to hear it cant you just say no thank you and walk away.
Is someone asking you a question or talking about their religion to you really soooo offensive?

Paul’s influence on Christianity has been a big one perhaps even more then Jesus (Pbuh).
Paul said that you cannot be justified by the law of Moses:
"Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by him all that BELIEVE are JUSTIFIED from all things, from which ye COULD NOT BE JUSTIFIED BY THE LAW OF MOSES." [Acts 13:38-39]
Here Paul tells the Christians that they cannot be justified by the law of Moses let us see what the master says
"And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? And he said unto him, WHY CALLEST THOU ME GOOD? there is none good but one, that is, God: BUT IF THOU WILT ENTER INTO LIFE, KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS." [Matthew 19:16 1)

Dear readers. If some Jehovah's Witness response here has been chosen as the "best answer" it does not mean they are already correct in their doctrine. We just don't know how many Jehovah's Witness are participating in this Yahoo! Answers. But please do not just accept their response. Search for yourself whether what I am asking is really valid or not. Search the old Watchtower and Awake! magazines. Check the old JW literatures so you will know that they truly are contradicting their own major doctrines. Many young and old JW people died because they taught many years ago that immunization is wrong when all of a sudden change their view about it. Many young & old JW people died due to their refusal to allow blood transfusion just because of the faulty interpretation of the Governing Body taught about it. But what if the Governing Body lifted this ban after 50 yrs and started changing their view? Can they just say sorry for that father or mother who's little child just died? Think!

2012 is the year that the Mayans predicted would be the transition from the current astrological age (Pisces) to the new one (Aquarius). It has nothing to do with the end of the world. Their long calandar is an astrological time keeping device.

If God is omnipresent, everywhere and everything, it is logical that ever aspect of life and the Universe is God. Or that God is present within every aspect of the universe. Perhaps our souls tap into a higher power and project this "life force" as a "God", whether it be Ra, Poseidon, Jesus, a Tree or whatever guides us towards spiritual enlightenment and or harmony.

I do. I want to be fully aware when I make the transition home and back again. People die all the time, it can't be that bad. I don't want to be afraid of the path that the creator has chosen for me. I want to live and die without fear.

Maybe it's just the time of night, but the answers I've been getting to what I thought was simply an interesting philosophical inquiry have been really, scathingly heated.

Where does this intollerant venom come from? Why the bigotted, searing contempt for views that differ from yours?

How can people get so empassioned about something they don't believe in anyway?
