are they all the same in His eyes?

I think that the "All sin is the same" answer is illogical... If that is correct then Hitler killing 12 million Jews is the same as you having sex one time with your girlfriend... Just food for thought.

Yes and no. By yes, I mean that any sin, whether it is stealing a dollar or killing someone is enough to make us imperfect and deserve to be turned away from God.

By no, I mean that some sins are indeed worse than others in God's eyes. Think about it. True Christians are going to heaven and they will not be judged. If there were only 2 extremes, heaven and hell, then what's the point of Judgement Day? There must be more alternatives. I think that there are varying degrees of hell. Some are hotter than others, and some last longer than others. I believe that people who have not accepted Jesus will be judged according to their exact sins to determine how much of hell they suffer.

In John9:11 Jesus mentioned "A greater sin" meaning that some sins carry more grave consequences than others. However these consequences refer to our plight in life down here on earth the greatest sin of all is the sin of rejecting Christ in your heart. Don't get this twisted, it doesn't matter if a person has "never" heard the name of Jesus because God has a way of testing a person's heart, mind and intentions that is infallible and He will know if a person would have accepted Christ if given the opportunity.

this ticks me off royally!! 2 times tonight i am answering someones question searching bible gateway for a text and i lose where i am at and all that i have written is gone grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr never ever happens on AOL when i write a letter , go to Ezekiel ch 33 v 10 to 12 any sin will keep you from heaven .. their are sins though that be more grevious meaning they have a way of sepperrating U EASIER FOROM god. presumption is one of the worst sins u can commit .. worse then murdering ten thousand people !!
why?? simply u feel no remorse , u feel no need to repent u presume you are fine just the way you are.. dont believe this?? many times JESUS TOLD THE PHARISEES THE HARLOTS AND PUBLICANS WILL ENTER IN BEFORE U .. WHY? SIMPLY THEY KNEW THEY WERE SINNERS AND JEUS offered them hope and they took it.. if u feel u are already a fine christian and u have no need to repent of any sins then these will hold u back .. u are presuming u are ok and dont need a dr, selah!

God does not grade on a point system. A sin is a sin. Fortunately God is a gracious god and will forgive any sin if we repent.

The book of James, chapter 4 I believe, teaches that when one commits a sin, they are guilty of all. This tells me, that it does not matter how you sin, you are guilty of all sin. Thank you Father for giving us your Son to cleanse us.

God bless
