I do. I want to be fully aware when I make the transition home and back again. People die all the time, it can't be that bad. I don't want to be afraid of the path that the creator has chosen for me. I want to live and die without fear.

I have faced death. Satan had his hands wrapped around my throat and almost had me... I was not saved. All the pain, the emotion, everything. I prayed to God, if there was a God, for death. I did not die. I was an Atheist. I laid there and began to realize, through the pain, that I wanted to live. For my son. Jesus took my hand and walked me out of there. One baby step at a time. When I got well enough. I went out and got baptized. My path was death at one time. By my choice not his. The Lord laid me flat out to get my attention. That's how rebellious I was. The Lord does not choose death as a path for his children - we do. He wants an abundant and prosperous life for each of us. Those that die early, are spared from the horrors of this world. Hard as that is to accept. Children who die of Cancer, etc. They are spared. How fortunate they are. I would die tomorrow if I could. I am ready to go home. This world sucks. But I hope I'd have time to find a home for my awesome cat... I will not die in fear just as I will not live in fear. Satan is not my God. Jesus is and he says believe and trust in me, fear not. I do. I trust in him with all things.

Yes. It's an interesting thing to contemplate. There have been three occasions when I was certain I was about to die and I felt no fear just a feeling of perfect peace and calm.
I'm an atheist so there were no gods and demons waiting for me.

If I have the choice I would rather be fully aware so that way I can make my own plans that is if I'm given the time!

I suppose I would like to know. We all have a great fear of mortality, even if it's repressed deep down. It's no wonder most cultures have myths about living forever!

If I'm dying, then I want to know about it. I want time to prepare certain things and if necessary do some of those things I never had time to do.

I will just take whatever comes along at the time. It is not as if I had a choice anyway.

Yes, we are all dying. The real question is do we dare to live?

No gods required.
