No, all Catholics have the same basic beliefs. To have a patron saint is just having a major (dead) person to pray to. No, not worship- one honors and asks them to pray to Jesus (God, Holy Spirit) for them, in their favor, called intercession. (By the way, anyone can intercede.)

Do you mean, different beliefs within them?
The Catholic Church is an enourmous church, but they still have the same views throughout the world.
Patron saints give their opinions on subjects, on their literature, but they don't teach differences in beliefs, they teach an understanding of such belief.

All Romaan Catholics have the same belief . Belief on trraditions, belief on customs, belief on the worship of man made image as auxillary god, belief in Virgin Mary as powerful God, belief on worship of man made saints, belief on the power of of the jews, belief on angels to worship, ;worship of pictures of Jesus and Mary, and many other false beliefs.

I don't know.
I've always been more of a libertine in my thinking, and I chose St. Francis of Assisi . His ideology, or manner of living, only made even more sense to me after reading Thoreau's works and Oscar Wilde's essay "The Soul of Man Under Socialism".
So yes, St. Francis has influenced my thinking, and way of living.
