Dear Justyn,
That is an excellent point.
I have observed that Voting is often more a matter of point gaming and/or a popularity contest rather than true Best Answer.
In The Daily Walk Bible for today (November 20) I read 1 Corinthians 11:2-14. These chapters relate to Problems with Worship and Gifts.
One of my favorite Bible verses relates to your question -
1 Corinthians 11:19. It says to me that we have differences to show which party has God's approval and that brings to mind Elijah's Showdown at Mount Carmel with the false prophets (1 Kings 18). Wouldn't it be great if the Holy Spirit were guiding the selection of Best Answer!
Next to chapter 14 of 1 Corinthians I made the note: "Is false prophecy in any way edifying?" Since prophecy is for the edification of the church, I am very turned off by those who say "We made a mistake" or "Some of our members were simply over-zealous."
I noticed on one of your other questions that you were speaking about discerning false prophecy using Deuteronomy 18:22 and I was frustated that you didn't discuss whether or not you agreed with some of the points made.
For His glory,
JOYfilled

In the King James, Revelation 20:14 says that death and HELL are hurled into the lake of fire. Now when I attended both the Church of Christ and the Methodist Church, I was taught that HELL was the lake of fire - which did not make any sense at all in line with this scripture. And if you notice in Revelation 21:4, after death is hurled into the lake of fire, verse 4 says "death will be no more" - out of existence for eternity. No more inherited death from Adam - no more imperfection. It is GONE. Fire is a literal, touchable material thing. But Satan is not. Therefore a literal fire would not bother Satan in the least. So it is necessary for us to recognize that this is not a literal fire. And that is why the Bible says plainly that it is the "second death." First death - opportunity for a resurrection. Second death - no opportunity for a resurrection.

Actually because JW's answers are based on the bible,
Their answers are correct even when they aren't chosen as best.
It's amazing how many thumbs down I get for just quoting a scripture.
//////////
Aren't Opinions wonderful?
Since they are "our opinion", they can not be wrong.
How many is "many" in your opinion?
Is 'one' to many?
Yet, it is just as true to say "many" have died because of receiving immunizations,
How many of these would have lived if they had rejected the immunization?
Understand, JW's have read 'older' publications.
You aren't presenting 'new' light on old subjects.
Judging past decisions on current information is wrong in it self.
Jehovah approved of slaves in the nation of Israel. Does that make it correct today?
Jehovah forbid the Israelites from eatting rabbits and swine,
Was He wrong to do so?
What is your opinion?

Does an answer being chosen as best make it so? Not always no. However just because an answer that was chosen isn't liked by someone doesn't make it wrong either.
By the way I reported your rant. Please understand, 360 was set up for this sort of thing. Y!A is for getting answers to questions, not for expressing your annoyance about either your question getting a BA you don't like, or a question you answered not choosing you as best.
Hope this helps.

Personally, I feel you are looking at the superficial things. JW is a cult. Like most cults, they look for something to make themselves distinctive. Refusing blood is such an issue. Immunizations may not be a good idea, so they might be right there. But just because of human opinion here, that doesn't make them right.
Look for Jehovah's Witnesses on the internet, as a search term. And look for the word "apologetics". They reject the Trinity and the deity of Jesus, so they have no salvation. They tend to be very abusive, because they expect people to go sell their literature and spend hours talking to people, and they expect you to shun anyone who has left the group or refuses to accept their views.
You will get all kinds of opinions here. Some of the people know what they are talking about, and some don't. This isn't a place to get definitive answers. That's why I recommend the research.
I have spent many hours researching them, and also many hours talking to them, so I am very sure of my ground.

You take this Room far to Serious.. Grow Up. Afterall The apostle Paul wrote to Timothy: “There will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories.”(2 Timothy 4:3,4)
Just because there are Not as Many JW's as say Catholics does not make them Wrong. Jesus Followers were vastly outnumbered by people believing in the Jewish system of Worship.. Guess who turned out to be Right?

I've yet to come across a theistic religion that wouldn't fit into your little speech here.
Followers of all have died and killed for silly religious reasons. All have changed over the years in an attempt to remain relevant. All have contradicted themselves.

I have pointed out the same thing. Some of them will do anything to get their point across. some of them have many accounts just to cheat and give themselves best answer, so that their answer shows up like it was chosen. I just had 4 of my answers removed because they do not like my form of truth.
I was a Witness for decades, and I have seen this sect change with the wind.
People die..families are shattered. and they march on like nothing happened. I believe the Governing body gets their promptings directly from their father, Satan.

2 Corinthians 11> Readers becareful this one do not decieve you ither. Everthing a Jehovah Witness post it has had scriptural backing. So, do this person have but a lot of words to turn you away from the GLORIOUS GOOD NEWS? "YES" . 3 But I am afraid that somehow, as the serpent seduced Eve by its cunning, YOUR minds might be corrupted away from the sincerity and the chastity that are due the Christ. 4 For, as it is, if someone comes and preaches a Jesus other than the one we preached, or YOU receive a spirit other than what YOU received, or good news other than what YOU accepted, YOU easily put up [with him]. 5 For I consider that I have not in a single thing proved inferior to YOUR superfine apostles. 6 But even if I am unskilled in speech, I certainly am not in knowledge; but in every way we manifested [it] to YOU in all things.
7 Or did I commit a sin by humbling myself that YOU might be exalted, because without cost I gladly declared the good news of God to YOU?
12 Now what I am doing I will still do, that I may cut off the pretext from those who are wanting a pretext for being found equal to us in the office of which they boast. 13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for Satan himself keeps transforming himself into an angel of light. 15 It is therefore nothing great if his ministers also keep transforming themselves into ministers of righteousness. But their end shall be according to their works.

You show your ignorance in every letter you type. Tell me, how many JW's do you know of who have killed themselves and have put their own children at risk because of their tobacco habit? How many JW's do you know of who contracted HIV outside of the marriage and brought that disease home to their families? Compared to other religions, how many JW's do you know of are in prison for murder? How many JW's are involved in warfare where they learn how to slaughter their fellow man?
Your bigoted statement above only makes you look foolish. Can't you see that?
