if it is, then why is there no peace among them?

if you gather people from different sects of Christianity in one room you'll see that it won't take long for them to be at each other's throat. they even talk bad about each other, with the Catholics being the main target of their attacks.

In Matthew 27:46, it states that while Jesus was on the cross, he said:
"Eli, Eli, lama sabachtani (My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?).
If Jesus said these words, it represents a blatant declaration of disbelief according to all theological authorities. This is a great insult as such words could only come from an unbeliever in God. Further, it is incredible that such words should come from a Prophet of God, because God never breaks His promise and His Prophets never complained against His promise, especially when the Prophet’s mission is understood. It could be said that whoever relates that this statement was said by a Prophet (Jesus), is a disbeliever. Muslims believe, as the Qur’an states, Jesus was not crucified. It was the intention of his enemies to put him to death on the cross, but Allah saved him from their plot. Qur’an 4:157: "That they (Jews) said boasting, "We killed Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah, but they (Jews) killed him not, nor cr

If so,where does it say that? And if that is the case why do christians quite often use the term "I rebuke you satan in the name of Jesus"?Surely they are not sure which"demon" they are talking to and are ignorant if they think its satan himself they are dealing with.

Everyone makes leaps of faith. When you invoke the name of any other planet you are making a leap of faith that depends on assumptions about the universe that cannot be 100% certain. Science is not truth and there are no "rules" in the natural order that may never change. The fact that one has never been to any other planet should require, at some level, faith in the assumptions that the information you believe about said planet is true. So when the faithful invoke the name of their deities they make an assumption based on faith. Because there are no true certainties in science you can't say that the chances of non existence of supernatural phenomena (or God) are more, or less than the chances of their existence. The empirical cannot say anything about things of such nature....

"And lo a voice from heaven, saying,This is my beloved Son,in whom I am well-pleased." Also in Luke 4:41,it says that Jesus is the Son of God.
but,in Matthew 5:9,"Blessed are the peacemakers;for they shall be called children of God."

My husband hasn't wanted to have sex for almost seven weeks now. We're only in our mid twenties and I happen to love being intimate with my husband. Well, he isn't interested at all and tells me to 'do it myself'. Is it a sin to 'do it myself' if my husband refuses and you can't stand it any longer? :/ Thanks

Is there any solid hard proof that he even exists?
I mean, Bible stories have been passed down from generations, why should those be believed? How do we know God created the earth, where did he come from in the first place? How do you know that these miracles are the work of God, or just a mere coincidence? AS IF all the stories in the bible are true. They're probably as real as Harry Potter, Star Wars, Sailor Moon or Astro Boy.

WHERE IS THE LOGIC IN BELIEVING IN A BEING THAT IN THEORY, CANNOT EXIST? WHERE IS THE PROOF? Tell me why you believe in a form of God. Use logic and solid proof that a form of God actually exists.

I don't 100% believe in a form of God, only maybe 20%. It's more wishful thinking than anything else.

All those animals separated into separate cages -- one male, one female per cage. Wouldn't there have been one heck of a lot of sex? What else would they have done to pass the time? We're talking months at sea here.

i believe in God. i do not believe in the christian god. Big Bang/ 7 Days... i wasn't there but whatever the Source, is what i choose to call God.

i do not even know if God has a consciousness or a reason. I only know that It Is. this includes that It Has Been and Continues To Be.

these are biblical references, i know, but they are logical to me.

My question, even atheists can contribute, i believe if they can assume my definition of God is merely the Source of all things, is what can we ALL agree on regarding the nature of God?

not what's out of a book or relates to our personal relationship with our percieved Maker.

it simply goes without saying that, since God laid down the foundation for mathematics, physics, gravity, and other natural laws, such things as friction or atmospheric pressure are merely evidence of this Source. it also goes without saying that any idea that conflicts with Natural Law can be understood as false.

What is the difference between what Saul did in 1 Samual 28 (Going to the Woman at Endor and seeking the guidance of the Prophet Samuel) and what Catholics do to Mary and the "Saints" (Praying to them for guidance)? Clearly, Samuel was dead and in the grave, and he is also a Saint, but Saul should not have done what he did, right? Are we not also commanded to abstain from divination and necromancy (communication with the dead)? --Deut. 18:9-12. Do we not ourselves become necromancers when we attempt to communicate with dead? I know that God is not the God of the dead, but of the living, but that doesn’t fit the context of what I am asking. There is a clear distinction between those that are physically alive and those that are physically dead in the Bible. And we are commanded not to try to speak or communicate with those that are physically dead. It is considered witchcraft, and it is an abomination before God. So, why do we attempt to contact physically dead saints?
