In Matthew 27:46, it states that while Jesus was on the cross, he said:
"Eli, Eli, lama sabachtani (My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?).
If Jesus said these words, it represents a blatant declaration of disbelief according to all theological authorities. This is a great insult as such words could only come from an unbeliever in God. Further, it is incredible that such words should come from a Prophet of God, because God never breaks His promise and His Prophets never complained against His promise, especially when the Prophet’s mission is understood. It could be said that whoever relates that this statement was said by a Prophet (Jesus), is a disbeliever. Muslims believe, as the Qur’an states, Jesus was not crucified. It was the intention of his enemies to put him to death on the cross, but Allah saved him from their plot. Qur’an 4:157: "That they (Jews) said boasting, "We killed Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah, but they (Jews) killed him not, nor cr

Actually, if you read the Bible instead of going to propaganda sites, that is a direct quotation of Psalm 22:1.

The reason that He said that is because at that moment, God was no longer with Him. At that moment, He was bearing all sin.

I'd love to know who these "theological authorities" you speak of are. Are they Muslim, by chance?

Jesus wasn't just a prophet. If He was, then we're all dead in our sin.

And I STILL don't understand why you Muslims take the word of the Qur'an, which was written roughly six hundred years after Jesus lived, died and was resurrected, but won't believe the New Testament, which was written within less than seventy years after the events it describes.

If Allah allowed all those people, including Jesus' own mother, to believe that He had died, he's a very cruel God indeed.

The Christian belief is that when Jesus was crucified, He took on the sins of humanity and for the first time in His life was separated from God the Father by sin. The spiritual and emotional agony and loss must have been beyond all measure. Is it any surprise, coupled with the physical pain of crucifixion that he felt abandoned by God the Father and cried out in pain and despair?

He was quoting the first line of Psalm 22, a psalm that King David, one of the greatest and most devout rulers of the Jewish people, is credited with writing. Having doubts and admitting your doubts does not mean that you have blasphemed God or have no faith in God!

This was the moment that God could not look upon Jesus...he had taken the sins of all on himself...God could not bear to see all of the sins on Jesus…you should be thankful…instead you pervert the gospels.

Jews didn’t kill Jesus…Sin killed Jesus!
God's plan to save all people.

Historical Fact: Jews didn't crucify they stoned people...Romans crucified…

Mohammad didn’t understand the Christians …why would he be a source to quote from!

I see, so bash the beliefs or others while at the same time, promote your own. Brilliant.

Isaiah 53:5 "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."

It looks like Mohammad got Jesus's name wrong when he decided to call him Isa. It looks more like Isaiah or Esau than Yehoshua, which was the name Jesus went by...

Just one more mistake made by Mohammad & company =)
The Qur'an was written by men.

I don't particularly care that your Quar'an claims things that are different from the Bible. Both books have exactly the same amount of evidence supporting their claims: Zero.

Look up the logical falacy: Arguement from Authority. Religionists use it all the time.

He took your place in death and you have the wickedness in your own heart that would condemn him. May he have mercy upon your soul.
The loneliness of the Son who could not be looked upon by his Father because of your sin would be in vain except for one thing. My sins were upon him as well. For that I praise his Name.
