All those animals separated into separate cages -- one male, one female per cage. Wouldn't there have been one heck of a lot of sex? What else would they have done to pass the time? We're talking months at sea here.

Can you imagine the racket?

Lots of questions regarding this myth. How did Noah breath when the water levels had surpassed mountain peaks when oxygen is required for normal people(as well as it being so cold),how many "Arks" did he build as if he followed the dimensions in the bible he couldn't have even fitted 2 of every species of beetle, how did he guarantee correct collation and sexing of the estimated 10 million species of microscopic organisms that would have perished in a flood, how did the plants survive so long submerged, how did he feed all those animals and get the specific requirements of every species, how did he manage to save all the coral and saltwater species of fish that couldn't survive a salinity change due to the volume of fresh water, where did all the water go from the water cycle, etc etc etc etc etc etc

God "moved" upon the animals to GET them to the ark and make them "passive" enough to live at peace with each other (i.e. no fighting or EATING each other!), and so, I might strongly suspect that God also moved upon them to CONTROL THEMSELVES until the ark had "landed," the waters had receded, AND sufficient FOOD for the added population had appeared to feed the new populations. Noah had loaded in the ark sufficient food supplies because God knew how much would be needed, just as God knew how big to build it.

You can take your quaint notion of a "sex ship" and email George Carlin with it... I'm sure he'd appreciate the joke more.

Have a blessed day.

Actually, the myth of Noah's Ark comes from the story of a Chaldean rain Goddess named Nuah, who came down in the arc of the crescent moon to save the animals from a flood. It was translated into the story of Gilgamesh long before they came up with the Noah version.

I do not think the animals were all in seperat cages but I am sure some did mate on the trip they had to repopulate the earth after.

Let's hope all the sex that took place was between animal and animal, human and human.

Lol... You just reminded me of the Nine Inch Richards parody song to NIN's "Closer" "I reckon Noah's ark must've been just like the love boat!"
