Let's look at the Christian rules:

1) I have free will to worship/obey god, or not.

2) There are no alternatives to god (i.e. no other gods.) I can ONLY embrace god, OR reject god.

3) Once I am aware of the Christian god, I MUST choose

4) I can not "opt out".

So let's say my entire life I've neither acknowledged god's existence, nor rejected him. He's just a non-issue... something I never once thought about or considered. According to Christianity, if I don't decide by my death to embrace god, by default I am damned, even if I never once actively thought "god I reject you."

Logically, was I given a FAIR choice? The second I was exposed to the knowledge of god's existence, WHETHER I WANTED THIS KNOWLEDGE OR NOT, I was then forced to make a choice which I wasn't forced to make prior to that exposure. So in reality, god (or his followers) took my freedom away from me, because now I have to choose!

What happened to my FREE will?

ok.. I am a Christian... last night I had a horrific dream. I was trying to protect my family from a group of men that were on a mission to murder me and my family. after one failed another would come to try. It never ended. I even saw myself killing some of these men. My children were not in the dream and either were my animals but they were a big part of the dream. This was so vivid that I even remember one of the men hiding in a dead flower bed with sod over himslef to hide. I saw the movement and shoved something in his neck.

A bit about my life lately.... I work 6 days a week and yes, I am exhausted. ( i slept til 3:30 this afternoon dreaming this dream). I have 2 kids at home with me. My son isnt doing well in school and my daughter broke her wrist 2 weeks ago. I am also trying to stop a forclosure on my house...
I tell myself that stress caused this dream, but dang... how violent and graphic it was.

He must not be very considerate of a natural male need.

man, what a crappy engineer. in the past few centuries, look at the technological advancements made by humans, from the transistor to the airplane to countless others. look at god's. they haven't changed since the big bang. is god just stupid, or is he lazy? since nowadays it is clear that evolution created life; god just made the materials (the argument by religious to compensate for their defeat on evolution) so don't say "god made life". what a lazy turd.

Why do people pray to Jesus instead of God? Shouldn't we be praying straight to God? Isn't God the one who answers our prayers?

I really need your prayers. I stopped smoking about 4 months ago and tonight I started having cravings.I gave in and have smoked 5 cigs. already in the past couple of hours. I know how harmful it is and also I feel it hinders my relationship with God. I truly need prayers and encouragement .

I thank you for your prayers.

I think many Christians hate the fact that many Atheists know the bible as well as them or better and find it extremely difficult to form any type of counter answer to points brought up. All I beleive Christians sincerly don't like anyone messing with their contructs of reality. What do you think?

if you'd like to, simply repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved from the judgement of sin. if you seek redemption, it is freely given.

I'll meet you in the kingdom.

What are they looking for? Is it resonable to have a religion that says yes to everything that you want?

I'm just curious as to whether you consider meditation to be inherently religious, or if you believe that it is something that anyone can do. Comments, please; don't hold back on my account :-)

My way is the only so you better follow me and give me your money.

Could a religion that taught tolerance and acceptance with common sense survive?

Or would they have a hard time collecting money without the element of fear in an imaginary place?

Does this make sense to anyone - except Christians, of course. He creates man and woman with the ability to "sin", then they do, then they are punished for it. He allows them to be born into countries where they will never hear of a Savior named Jesus, so they will be punished eternally for this also. Is this Loving and Divine? I know what the apostle Paul said about looking at creation to prove the existence of God, but it doesn't (or at least not that there is a savior) -- there is no one who can categorically prove or disprove whether a God exists. But if one did, would they be at this low level of consciousness so as to act capriciously, vindictively and sadistically? Beliefs only serve to separate and divide humanity, cause wars and all sorts of suffering. If sin causes suffering, would organized beliefs be one of them? Thomas Paine's "The Age of Reason" does a very effective critique on all this. What true God would kill and destroy its own creation because of a temper tantrum?

If he can do anything I'm sure he can do that! But since he is almighty and nothing else can be as powerful as he is, then wouldn't it be impossible for him to create a more powerful god? Doesn't this prove to us that there is something he cannot do? I'm confused guys, help me out.

Doesn't God judge the sin of homosexuality the same way he judges the sin of casting judgement on others? So when someone says, "you are gay and the bible says that what you do is an abomination...", isn't that casting judgement?
