Because in John it says you must pray to Jesus because he died on the cross to wash away sin. Jesus is between God and humans. Pray to God put in Jesus name.
BTW if your some Atheist who gonna try something stupid at this question just think who created the earth. Answer that and then think, what created that? The list goes on and on until you will have no choice but to believe Christianity.

they're all under the effect of Satanic practices. Exodus 20:3 Thou shalt have not got the different gods in the previous me. Isaiah 40 two:8 i'm the LORD: it extremely is my call: and my glory will I not provide to a distinctive, neither my compliment to graven photos Matthew 24:36 yet of that day and hour knoweth no person, not even the angels of heaven, neither the Son, however the father purely. Matthew needless to say shows that God and Jesus at the instant are not one and an analogous, or component to an analogous, in any different case he would comprehend what hour. additionally the assumption of the Trinity fails. Ergo, neither can Jesus be a God in the previous God as this fails Exodus 20:3. Isaiah 40 two:8 shows needless to say that God does not share his capability, not inspite of the Son.

Biblical correct, Congratulations,
Jesus never wanted to separate us from God or replace him.
He said ASK The FATHER anything in my name.
He sacrificed himself to open the door to God for us , that had been shut because of sin.
Let us therefore go boldly therefore before the throne of grace.
That's in the throne room of God . You are a high priest of the order of Melchizedek the highest. You have Gods robe on you and the Crown of life from Jesus . Jesus is the door, to God.

Doesn't much matter. They are one in the same. Whether it be by the Father, The Son, or The Holy Spirit, it is still to God, because they are all the same. Jesus The Son merely delivers our prayers. It's an illogical question, really. It's like asking if we drink water or H2O.

Jesus IS God. Many people pray to God in Jesus' name. Either way, it's the same thing, unless you don't believe in the Trinity.

Because he is our Lord, the closest to the Father and one with the Father, the very image of God, our intercessor, and if you're Trinitarian, fully divine. I usually pray to the Father in Jesus' name, but sometimes I just say "Lord" (which could be directed at either of them).

Sometimes, when we ask for something to our parents and we have an older bro/sis,we tend to be shy because of all the horrible things that we have done to our folks. Then we suddenly realize to have our older bro/sis ask the question instead.I think it's the same thing with praying to Jesus instead of God. Let's just pray to both of them for less controversy,I'm sure it won't hurt.
