American Christians, don't you think it would be safer to allow gays to have the same marriage rights as you do, just in case God doesn't allow those who suppress the rights of others to enter Heaven?

Think about it, because you're gambling with your eternal soul!

What is more important to you, about following your religion.
Is it that you don't want to disappoint God, that you wish to stay true on his path? Or because you want to go to Paradise?
For me, I just want to be one of the faithful servants of God, the main intent in me doing good things and staying good is because I want to do it for the sake of God, not because I'm thinking about how happy i will be in heaven,

My belief is we are created in the Image of God.

Man being the first of God's creation we see the strength of God. .

Women being the last of God's creation we see the senitive side of God. We are created with the heart of God to be more emotional and sentitive and more gentle than men.

As I read some of the questions and answer from atheist I see that some of the women are more heart-hardened than the men.

I don't mean any disrespect, and I'm not trying to insult anyone, but can anyone tell me when and why the disbelief started or if you ever believed?

Such as: why there is suffering in the world?
Why do we die?
What will be the future of mankind on earth?
When and why will mankind live forever?

With respect, my experience of other faiths seem to make them based mainly on rituals or emotional experience rather than learning from questions people ask.

I just simply wanted to know for my curiosity if you belonged to a religion before and had a different Faith? And if so, what made you change your mind? Why do you feel so strongly about it?

ing published & preached in all nations?

Even if the Church is being sorely persecuted in the middle east & China, etc., the gates of hell isn't prevailing against Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God & the atonement & the resurrection.
No antichrist seems to be able to wipe Christianity off the map. And more & more people around the world are falling in love with God through faith in Jesus Christ.

Do you see it getting closer to the end?

Jesus said that when the gospel of the Kingdom is preached & published in all nations, then the end shall be.

One example: "But Sunday is the day on which we all hold our common assembly, because it is the first day on which God, having wrought a change in the darkness and matter, made the world; and Jesus Christ our Savior on the same day rose from the dead" (First Apology 67 [A.D. 155]).
God made the world in six days and rested on the seventh, making an eternal day of rest for Jews and, through Jesus, all mankind. According to the words above, Sunday worship commemorates the beginning the beginning of God's work to make the world. So if its marks the beginning of a work, how can Catholics expect to pass it off as a day of rest to replace God's Sabbath?

For my religion final, I have to write and talk about a Catholic scholar/servant/saint/disciple of the church. There's so many people to choose from! Does anyone have any ideas?

Some restrictions
- the person must be Catholic
- can't be Mother Teresa or Pope John Paul II (people in my class already have those)
- there has to be a book written about them, like a biography

Please help! I'm open to all ideas.

Is it true that Joseph translated the book of mormon out of a hat? Is it true that when the rich man who wrote it down for him "mis placed" the scripts that joseph couldn't get them back. Why is that? If he had the plates then why couldn't he just re read them? I don't understand...

I'm not trying to offend anyone, i'm just truely curious.

Some one who's had Jesus name baptism what would it mean if they got a baptism in the titles just so they could get involved in a ministry. Is there any thing scriptually that suggest that I not do this?

It can't be for reasons of community or any other reasons that humans do since fish do not reciprocate and the dolphins would learn quite quickly that that is the case. Dolphins are still hunted by humans in parts of the world. Yet they routinely protect and fend off sharks. Sharks have been shown to leave bloody meat alone in the presence of dolphins.

So what evolutionary reason would explain it? They seem to take the caretaker role of the ocean. What benefit could they possibly get from risking their lives for fish or humans that they don't eat and get absolutely nothing in return from?

assassinations. Is this true? Can anyone name some or post a source where this can be found?

The book is The Quest for the Historical Muhammad. It was a very general statement about the characteristics of Sira texts but no specific source(s) were given. "Most of them recount details of the raids, military expeditions, and eighty policial assassinations carried out by the prophet and his companions, with many romanticized deeds of heroism, single combats, and so on."

Thanks for your help.

Would you agree that it is fine that I raise my kids to be spiritualists? I feel everything that I believe is the truth, but like you I have NO proof that I am correct. Like you I only have my faith to go on. Why is it that I can trust God and my children enough for them to find and follow their own path and you can't? Yes, it is our jobs to take care of and teach our kids how to function in a healthy manner in this world...why for you does that translate into forcing YOUR beliefs on them?

-The basic of Islam is that G-d has no son while the basic of Christianity is that G-d has a son.
-Muslims pray to G-d while Christians pray to a human.
-Islam bans so many things while christianity barely bans anything.
How are these similar?

Wayne Dyer tells a story from his grade school days. He came home and said his teacher had called him a "scurvy elephant."

They called the teacher to find out exactly what the teacher meant by that.

"Oh, that Wayne, he gets everything wrong. I didn’t say he was a scurvy elephant. I said he was a DISTURBING ELEMENT!"

Not to take anything away from Dyer, who has a lot of good things to say about psychology and personal growth, but a "disturbing element" he is NOT!!!

Dyer went on to observe that being a disturbing element is not necessarily a bad thing.

Is it a good thing to be the person who questions the culture’s holy writs, and insist that every form of authority has an obligation to justify itself?

Do you agree it’s just a really good thing to think for yourself in an informed and thoughtful way?

But society’s nonconformists do not usually have an easy time of it, at least not while they’re alive.

Are you an independent thinker?

In what way?
