What is more important to you, about following your religion.
Is it that you don't want to disappoint God, that you wish to stay true on his path? Or because you want to go to Paradise?
For me, I just want to be one of the faithful servants of God, the main intent in me doing good things and staying good is because I want to do it for the sake of God, not because I'm thinking about how happy i will be in heaven,

You are the perfect example of selfless servant of God who wants only to please God and leaves reward upto God without even thinking about it.
A great poet of 20th century in India Sir Iqbal wrote a beautiful poetry on thought like yours. It is hard to translate from one language to another but I shall try...

I think you are right in your walk with God. I do not think about heaven to often but I am ready to go at any time. Our relationship with God is the most important thing to me

Such a noble cause for being good. For me there are 3 reasons I do what's right (that is, when I do what's right)
1 To avoid any and all bad consequences of my actions
2 To reap the rewards of being good
3 Because God wants me to.

I follow my religion Islam because it is from God Himself. His laws are just like manuals for "how to use a machine". Allow me to call human body a machine too, and it is the most complicated machine in the world. It requires servicing physically and psycologically too.All of his commands are good for me in this world as well as in the life hereafter. I do good to please God , as he is the most grateful toHis slaves by rewarding them for their good deeds.
If I please God then he will guide me to remain true on straight path, and that is how I inshallah will go to paradise.

While I'm here on Earth, I would like to make sure that my soul is right and that I'm doing my best to live for Jesus and do his will. When he's ready for me, I would love to be in heaven with him.

What does the word christian mean...you are trying to be Christ like.... you are a christian to worship God and to be about his buiness heaven is the reward ...but its not wrong to want to go to heaven ...certainly not...
