ing published & preached in all nations?

Even if the Church is being sorely persecuted in the middle east & China, etc., the gates of hell isn't prevailing against Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God & the atonement & the resurrection.
No antichrist seems to be able to wipe Christianity off the map. And more & more people around the world are falling in love with God through faith in Jesus Christ.

Do you see it getting closer to the end?

Jesus said that when the gospel of the Kingdom is preached & published in all nations, then the end shall be.

mjbright, It is better to come to Christ because of the love of God. But it does write in scripture that some are saved by fear. Better to be saved by fear than not saved at all.

With every day pass, our country is getting into more and more trouble. The inflation, unemployment and falling value of dollar are the main concern for our Government but authorities are just sleeping, they don’t want to face the fact. Media is also involve in it, they are force to stop showing the real economic situation to the people. I start getting more concern about my future as well as my family after watching the response of our Government for the people that affected by hurricane Katrina.

According to recent studies made by World Bank, the coming crisis will be far worse than initially predicted. So if you're already preparing for the crisis (or haven't started yet) make sure you watch this video at http://www.familysurvival.tv and discover the 4 BIG issues you'll have to deal with when the crisis hits, and how to solve them fast (before the disaster strikes your town!) without spending $1,000s on overrated items and useless survival books.

No, I do not think the rapture will be coming very soon.

Rapture

Definition: The belief that faithful Christians will be bodily caught up from the earth, suddenly taken out of the world, to be united with the Lord “in the air.” The word “rapture” is understood by some persons, but not by all, to be the meaning of 1 Thessalonians 4:17. The word “rapture” does not occur in the inspired Scriptures.

Why would ANYONE want this world to be destroyed?
If you don't like it, leave!!!

People who dwell on the hope that the big angry sky pixie is going to come down and take away all the self righteous zealots and then punish the people who think for themselves, really need to take a look at their personal lives and decide why they're so damn miserable. Then CHANGE IT YOURSELF, instead of waiting for someone else to do it for you.

Have some personal responsibility/accountability.

I'm going to answer your question with a question. Have you researched the year 2012? I recently watched a Montel William's show about it and then I started researching it on Goggle. Many of the world's religions have revelations and predictions concerning that year as being the end of the world as we know it. Some think it will be physical and some think that it will be other situations that it pertains to.
For myself I have always wondered about the fact that many religions say that if you don't follow their particular religion then you are going to hell. What if they are all wrong???

I was raised in the Church of Christ and I never heard any sermons or teachings about the rapture; I just assumed they don't believe in that doctrine, but I may be wrong.

I believe we're in the last dispensation and that the end is near (relatively speaking), but exactly when that will happen and what it will be like I don't know.
