High five for the penguin.
Oh drat, that's right. They'll not concerned about their souls, just everyone else's soul.
They're givers... that's what they do.

Don't you think some American Christians have already done that? Like the ministers who've married some, people in Massachusetts and California. I've never been in the position to suppress the rights of anyone.

Are you attempting to alter the definition of what a marriage is, or is it penguins? we will not circulate around changing definitions! this is too complicated.... maximum human beings are nonetheless getting a draw close on what the definition of 'is' is. And who desires to circulate out and purchase all new dictionaries?

A good many of we Americans keep repeating, "JUDGE NOT, LEST YE BE JUDGED" They won't LISTEN.
Here's what you need to do....
Get a bunch of old sheets, throw some red paint on them and tear them into small pieces) Rent a movie studio and hire about a 100 actors. (put mirrors on the studio walls so it will make the 100 look like 1000's) Now, in your best fire and brimstone manner, pound that pulpit and condemn them all to hell IF they don't become a "prayer partner" for the donation of only $1000. On said "prayer" cloths, (which you mention are the Shroud of Turin) PRINT in small letters. "God does not hate gays, God does not hate gays, God does not hate gays..." When you receive their $1000 donation send them the prayer cloth. You don't even need to wait til the check clears. They apparently have a lot of money and they don't mind sending it to idiots. (Forget about anyone hungry though. They don't pray, they don't eat.)
Maybe they'll see it so much they'll stop this ridiculous non-sense.
BTW: I've seen this done. (except for the printing on the cloth) REALLY!!!
Makes me so proud to be an American.
If I lived on the other side of the world I'd be laughing....but I'm here and the anger is really cutting into my "laughing" time.
Peace.

Last time I checked, the bible looks down on homosexuality... but think about it... What if God looks down on Christians for allowing Gay marriages to take place? What then?
Most American Christians follow the Protestant beliefs, which says that you don't need the approval of your fellow peers or the Church to get to heaven. So, how are American Christians suppressing the rights of others to enter heaven?

I think we should just go with what God says about the subject, and allow gay marriage.

"Big Dummy" writes
"who takes or grants rights? according to the constitution, it's from a creator, not the government, the constitution in the US doesn't grant any rights to people, but restricts the government's ability to infringe upon those rights, which the framers held to be inalienable rights from a creator..."
The Constitution does not mention a "creator".
Read it sometime - you're getting your information from someone who is deliberately lying to you.

I have to disagree about where the rights come from, I say they are inherent to the human species, and can only be exercised by free thinking people.. otherwise we wait for courts and cops and authority figures of every ilk to tell us what we have coming..

Good point... I don't really disagree or agree with it. I am more of an apathetic person. I say if they want to get married then good for them, at least they are committed to one another and want to show everyone else that they are as well.

Let's see what Jesus has to say on the matter:
Judge not lest ye be judged
whatsoever you do to these the least of my brothers that you have done unto me
if you condemn then by the same measure ye shall also be condemned
The last shall go first and the first shall go last
I think Jesus Himself took your bet
