I've limited it down to Hathor, the Egyptian God; Ares, the Son of Zeus; or Cocomama, the supreme Incan God! Or perhaps we could go with something more contemporary like Yahweh.

Which one is worth worshipping?

What has existed forever with no origin - a thin blue gas, like Isaac Asimnov claims; or perhaps matter, energy, electrons...maybe even the entire universe itself has always been here with no origin - it never began, it just always was, right?

And secondly - how did intelligence evolve? I mean as we arose from the soupy liquid mass as amoebas how did our brains get created and evolve into thinking, feeling human beings who could love and hate; do good and evil; or weren't just pure instinctive mammals like the rest of the animal kingdom but actually had some freedom to choose and refine our own actions. How did our intelligence evolve?

The only answer I will not accept - and the one you continue to give is this one: "Just because I can't explain it doesn't mean I have to accept your explanation!"

Sorry - unacceptable. You love logic. I want a logical answer.

The stock answer for the presence of evil seem to be "free will". The theory is that if we weren't free to choose evil, we wouldn't be free. But if in heaven there is no evil, does that mean free will is gone ? Or, if there IS the choice to choose evil in heaven, won't heaven eventually become corrupted ?

Please don't insult me for asking the question, just answer the question. If you don't have an answer, please disregard the question.

Our clergy group is debating about a Protestant minister who is dating a Jewish woman. Some say it's fine and some condemn it. What do you think?

In fact it should read "Jesus comitted suicide for your sins."

So why did he commit suicide? Depression? Did he suddenly realise what kind of religion he had created?

I recently read a pamphlet, which was put out by radical conservative Protestants in Virgina, that claimed anyone who claims "God is Great!" will go to Hell. Their reasoning was that anyone who says that must be Muslim, and all Muslims will go to Hell.

I fear we are witnessing unthinking intolerance, and perhaps allowing others to re-define the words we use. I am old enough to remember when everyone wanted to be gay, because it meant being happy, not homosexual. I am also irritated by folks who proclaim that all accidents are preventable, when the dictionary clearly defines accidents as unpredictable events.

My point: words have meaning and carry meaning, and we should not engage in ideological debates in which words are redefined merely to push the view of the proponent. Yes, by definition, God is Great. Signed by a person who believes in a single diety.

The bible has nothing to do with god. (Research) but the only reason we know about god is because of the bible so if the bible is made up then why cant *God* himself be?

I JUST MADE MYSELF AN ATHEIST! I JUST PROVED TO MYSELF THEIR IS NO GOD!

-Do you get what I mean? Is this proof enough or do I have to list my research cause if you want me to just say and check back cause I will add it to additional details.

I mean this partly as a reaction to a post in the R&S which seemed to me that it is evaluating two religions like if they were accesories, something that you merely dress up...
Could you truly believe a religion that you have selected after evaluating its benefits and costs related to your present lifestyle? that is ,selecting the religion to fit your habits, instead of dropping the habits which would be considered sin after your conversion?

Why did God create Satan having Foreknowledge of Satan rebelling and eventually causing tremendous suffering to humanity and having himself tormented in hell for eternity?

By creating Satan with foreknowledge of the future God was letting the following happen:

1. God let humans suffer the consequences of Satans havoc on earth.
2. God let one of his own creations (Satan) eventually end up suffering in torment forever in the abyss of hell itself!

NOTE: Whether the cause is for humans to learn or serving as a test for humans it is still very evil for God to sacrifice one of His own creations to suffer.

God has foreknowlege of everything He creates (Revelation)
God could avoid the creation of Satan.
If He did Satan would not end up in hell and suffer eternally.

Why would an all loving God not avoid this creation?

This is not a question of Satan having free will or not.
I know he got.

Please answer the question straightforwardly.
