I found out, from a friend, that Todd the flight attendent(my favorite person on survivor) was the gay Mormon that everyone made a big deal about earlier...

So I googled it to see if it was true and a video of him talking about how people say stuff to him and his family about being gay and it made me sad to see people of my church (LDS) say stuff to him because he's different.

I emailed Todd (not telling how I contacted him) and apologized for anything anyone may have said to him and his family, and he replied!

I'm def excited!

Isn't that cool??

do any of you have any ideas?

Most of you know that my fiance died 3 years ago. well last night I had a very weird dream.

He came in and was very worried, started yelling at me to pack and get out of here, went into my room and my boys room and started throwing clothes in bags and kept yelling, he is coming after you, he is going to kill you, you have to leave know!. then all of a sudden somebody started to try and get in the front door, Dave ran to the door and was holding it shut and yelling at me to get the boys and get out know!. so I grabbed the boys and went out the back door, as I was driving I was worried about Dave, then remembered he was allready dead so there wasnt much they could do to him, then he showed up in the back seat yelling at me again to hurry, they were coming, get out know!, then I got so scared I woke myself up.

Which is closer to his teachings? An atheist who is kind, generous and loving or a believer who is spiteful, bigotted and aggressive?

I am an atheist by choice, I feel that if religion and belief help people then who am I to critisize do you think that those of religous persuasion should accept that there are people who just do not believe in ' man made gods ' and allow people to be atheists without ramming it in our face. Ok you have your lord jesus other cultures have their gods point is I don't have to believe, is their someone bigger well yes their is but maybe not created by pre educated people is my belief thing is I don't make you try to run your life by my ideas so why is our world run by many religions telling me what to believe.

If your god brings happiness to you then all well and good would you give me the same?

How do you (Christians) respond to atheists who think you're an idiot because you believe in Jesus?

2007-11-18 10:10:56 · 19 answers · asked by harry 4

OK, today in church (im a catholic), and the gospel was about Jesus' Second Coming on Earth, and reviewing all the words, that "there will be many wars, nation will go against nation, and Christians will be persucuting and laughed at for believing in me". Does this mean Christians will die if they believed in Jesus? So, who would kill us, wouldn't it have already happened? Will the kill children? What would be the death? IM SCARED! What will that and the second coming be like?

I don't know if this applies to all but some of the people I know make up their own rules for the no meat on Friday thing. According to what I was taught is that during Lent you are to fast on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday and for every Frida during Lent you are to have no meat.

Some people I know have no meat on every Friday of the year.

Some people I know have no meat on Wednesdays; as well as Fridays during Lent.

Some people I know fast on every Wednesday and Friday of the year.

One time when I was at school, it was on a Wednesday duing Lent and one of my friends asked me why I was eating meat. I asked him what the problem was and he said that "it's a Wednesday". I tried explaining to him that only on Ash Wednesday it's no meat as well as only on Fridays. You could have meat on Wednesdays and he looked at me as if I was crazy.

Why do they make up their own rules on this meat/fasting issue?

We've all seen a Fundie ask how Atheists can be moral without the promise of Heaven/threat of Hell. Is this a way of them telling us that you CAN get to Heaven by deeds? If not, then why would they be moral?

What are your views on this form of communion? Does anyone know if John Calvin was ok with intinction? Also, what are your views on taking/receiving communion every week? I know some churches celebrate it every week and some do it much less. Thanks for your opinions.

discredit the bible? It's not easy lugging a 12 foot femur around without somebody noticing. And those big T-Rex skulls...and 200 pound vertebrae....and no one seems to notice.

OK, so some of you think it is acceptable for the church to call the police on a man who took 80 cents out of a collection plate, and some of you don't. not a problem. to each his own i guess.
but this is a sign of the times, or a sign of future prophesy. are you willing to fall under total governmental control to have your child (or yourself) vaccinated (or double vaccinated) because someone lost the paperwork?

this is a sign of what's to come with the RFID chip.

give me your opinion, but remember, this is the future of our world and not just our country.

the bible says that 'all must receive a mark, in their right hand or their forehead, and that they will not be able to buy nor sell save he that hath the mark'. I KNOW this is not in their right hands or their foreheads, but how many times are we to hear that if we do not do what we are told, we will be jailed?
are we ready?
what would you do?

There r also many places where becoming christian would put ur family and self at risk. These places existed at the same as some of the places where becoming christian was ezee and convenient... does this mean god favors some over others?

If so, please reference the book, chapter, and verse. My fiance says he doesn't want to be cremated when he dies because he heard it was wrong from somewhere. I hadn't heard it, but there's so much info, who knows. Please only answer if it's helpful in answering my question.
