Revelations2:27+. And he who overcomes & keeps my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: And he shall rule them with a rod of iron: as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.
And I will give him the morning star (venus).

Now I had a point of no return in a break down yrs ago. Where I saw the devils eye & it looked like 'venus'. And I heard the devils lauph. That was maybe the scariest part of my breakdown. So? Jesus has the authority of venus right here in this verse. And he gives it to those who rule & reign in Christ.

So? Is this a bit of a fear tactic Jesus uses to get people to turn to God? Or a discipline action Jesus gives Saints to rule with?

Religious history is plagued with wrong doings ( spanish inquisition, torture, witch hunts, power hungry ( holy roman empire), intolerance ( modern day bosnia of christian's killing muslims), muslims killing others, jews believing they are the SOLE chosen ones. And you will say " no one is perfect." But leading by example is a huge part of wanting to join or take part of a religion. Since we cannot see "god" there is nothing left but the bible and its followers. I chose not to take part of any religion because I do not believe people 2000 years ago hold all the knowledge of today. If god works in mysterious ways, it would be simple that if you want people to believe in it, and he is all powerful, why wouldn't he/she/it make itself known? The problem I have is that religion is used for controlling masses, a way of explaining evolution as "god just created it." Question: What proof outside of the bible, do you have for me? I know jesus is real, but that doesn't prove hes the son of god.

Catholics what are your opinions on Rick Warrens most important parts of your Church building, see article below,

Rick Warren of Saddleback Church (Lake Forest, CA) recently shared with The Christian Post six physical factors about church buildings that affect a worship service. Here is a summary:

1.Lighting
Lighting has a profound effect on people’s moods. Inadequate lighting dampens the spirit of a service. Shadows across a speaker’s face reduce the impact of any message.
2. Sound
It doesn’t matter how persuasive the message is if people can’t hear it in a pleasing manner. A tinny, fuzzy sound system can undermine the most gifted musician and incapacitate the most profound preacher. And nothing can destroy a holy moment faster than a loud blast of feedback!

3.Seating
4.Temperature
5.Clean, Safe Nurseries
6.Clean Restrooms

whenever things have happened to me, each and every time, the people who showed concern for me were lost people. The Christians/church people just vanished and just talked about how busy they were with their family. Like when my wife died. Not one church person called, came over, nothing, I got a few cards, but they didn't indicate that I could call them, the lost people were like here's my number, call me if you need anything. If I call a Christian about a need every time I get whining about how inconvenient it is and how busy they are. If I ask a lost person they clear their schedule, they don't complain, and they are there, no complaining nothing. Just cheerfully. I can't tell you how many situations this has been the case for. But I don't want my emotional support coming from lost people. It just doesn't seem like a good idea. but everytime something happens all the Christians vanish. It doesn't matter what the situation is. I am very involved in church....

Main complaint about Athesists?
Me I have no real complaints or gripes except perhaps a lack of charity sometimes on both sides and the occasional lack of polite wording.

... "therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity to the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth for a lie...furthermore since they did not did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. ..they are full of envy, strife, deceit and malice. .. they not only to continue to do these very things but things but also approve of those who practice them." - Romans Chapter One.
Is it that man wants to please himself and has slowly become desensitized to doing so - even if it is harmful and defies what is good and the order of life. It is glorified because we are broken and self-seeking, self-serving.
Theses social "freedoms" are more of a ball-and-chain to society and hurt the individual and the society ultimately.
There are things we should not do. They harm rather than love and we reap the results...
Say you?

I am the daughter of a very devote muslim father and have always been a good daughter and servant of allah. My greatest desire is to please allah and my father, but I am very challenged now.
My father has given me to one of his best friends. He is also a very devote muslim, and father says he was a good husband to both of his former wives.
I know that I have no real reason to object, but I am only 9, and I want wanted to marry someone my own age. The man who my father gave me to is somewhere past his fifties. I am afraid to tell my father, because he will think me ungratefull and punish me. He told me when he made the arrangements that the Prophet (PBUH) consumated his marriage with Aeshia when she was nine, and that I am following in the way of the Prophet's (PBUH) favorite wife.
Is it wrong for me to think these thoughts? I really am not ungrateful, I am just scared.
I dare not tell my father, because he will hurt me. What should I do?

A very nice JW yesterday answered to me, "It's because we're thankful everyday." Okay, cute and succinct. I'm thankful every second I'm alive, but that doesn't mean I can't "remember" the sacrifices of our founding fathers and have a meal in their memory. Can a JW please explain this to me? I am asking sincerely.

To non-JW's: Please NO JW bashing.............

What do you think about the state of the world today? Does your instinct tell you that it's all building up to something? Perhaps the end of the world as we know it?

Obviously, us Christian "fundies" believe that we are living in the "last days", just prior to the return of Christ to judge the world, based upon things we see taking place on earth which match up with Bible prophecy. I appreciate that you don't share that view, but what are your thoughts, anyway?

Is there a "bad moon rising"?

Thanks in advance for all sincere, polite replies. May God bless you. x

Presumable for religious reasons, but different approaches are welcome here, as well.

Whether you go out to protest, agree with others, write papers, talk to children about why gay marriage is bad ... you are not always quiet about your views and leave others be.

After you have read this, can you please give me one single reason for why you still believe you should actively go against gay marriage, be it in form of words (spoken or written) or deeds?

1) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, liposuction and air conditioning.

2) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

3) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.
