SO... onto the question... Its x'mas coming up right... I have gotten everyone a present BUT my mother!

I need ideas... She always tells me to make her something because its from the heart so do you know what I can make her? Last year I made her a golden jewellery box, the year before I made her a ring and a necklace... I dont know what to make her this year... any ideas??

p.s. Are atheists aloud to act like hippies? You know "Peace Out" *

Learn to fold a Kawasaki Rose from tissue foil.

Tissue foil is a homemade composite material that sandwiches a piece of aluminum foil between two pieces of tissue paper, using spray adhesive (3M makes it.) You'll then have to cut it to a perfect square to use it for the rose. Practice on regular paper, before going to the trouble of making tissue foil.

Tam & I have 6 kiddos, 3 x 3. And our Sons Girlfriend whom we have "Adopted". We All Love to Cook so this year Tam & I are Making "Family Cook / Recipe Books" with the help of Wal-Mart Office Supplies. We are using 2" Binders with inner & outer clear pockets, so they can put a "Special Pix" in them. The First Pix will be of Tam & I with a "Home Sweet Home" motif, that they can change. The Book will have all their favorite Food Recipes & Useful Measurements / Tips that are easily "Copied" from other Cook Books. We will Use "Tabbed Dividers" to separate the Types of Dishes. This We hope will become a "Family Tradition". I personally will have to make some sort of arrangements for all my "Craftsman Tools" or the Boys will Kill each other for them!!! John

thats one of the terms i hate the most: something from the heart. my father pulled that one on me. i ended up giving him a vial of my blood (i went to the hospital to have it done, i have friends there) and then i gave him the box set of m*a*s*h dvds when the joke was over.
you need to find what your mothers obbies are. my 12 year old younger cousin is an artistic kinda girl so i bought her a blank book and customised the front of it with stickers and the like.
does your mother love to work? get her a diary, something that will help her work and something she can use at home, i know, that sounds a little impersonal. jewelry is always a lady-killer, chicks dig the jewelry. but your probably a bit streched for cash.chocolate has a certain charm too. alas chocolate is not going to lbe remembered as her all time favorite gift. a book! get her the latest hemmingway or whoever her favorite author is. random clutter! girls really love the random clutter! im talking mirrors, photo frames, etc etc. a photo of your family IN a photo frame would work too...
...
...
...or you could be a real smartass and make a heart out of clay andput a phial of blood in it, fake blood if your squeamish. its still from the heart...to a degree.

Peace, baby!

I'm trying to figure out what to give my mom, too. She is impossible to get gifts for.

She lives on her own, and she needs a way to get out and be social and meet other people her own age (early 50s), plus she works a ton because she has nothing else to do, so she usually eats crummy food. So I think I'm going to get her a session at one of those dinner-cooking places, where you go and learn how to make several good, healthy recipes in a group with other folks, then you take 'em all home and freeze them so you can thaw 'em out later.

I can't think of anything else!!

If you want to stick with the hand-made jewelry idea, why not make her some earrings and a bracelet?

First question: I agree with mom. Make her something. What are you good at? What do you like to do? Make her something very unique and special to her, using your unique and special skills and talents.

Second question: Huh? Have no idea what you are asking. But most of the "hippies" I've known (including me a little bit), were atheists, so you decide if that answers any part of your question.

I'm a christian and I act like a hippie, so why not! We're all in the same boat here in R&S.
Anyway, what about a collage of all her favorite pictures of the family, or maybe all the pictures that represent her likes and dislikes? You can also make one that shows what she represents to you. Than paint the frame up yourself and decorate it. Its something that she can display and mothers are VERY proud people. We have a reason to be.

I don't think *Peace Out* is hippy talk...more like hip hop. But I digress...

Hmmm...you make jewelry I see. If you can make a jewelry box then you must be welding and annealing and the like. Perhaps you could make a decorative frame and put a special picture in it? Or a candle holder?

You can always make her a card. Hippies can act like hippies. I don't know about atheists acting like hippies but if they want to I got nothing wrong with it.

I have an idea! I did it for Mama one year and she loved it.
GO buy a blank journal.

In it, write

100 REASONS I LOVE MY MAMA

Then you write 100 reasons.

Number them. Put silly stuff, like from when you were a kid.

Put some serious stuff in, too.

I guarantee it will be her favorite present of all time.
