Is it that man wants to please himself and has slowly become desensitized to doing so - even if it is harmful and defies what is good and the order of life. It is glorified because we are broken and self-seeking, self-serving.
Theses social "freedoms" are more of a ball-and-chain to society and hurt the individual and the society ultimately.
There are things we should not do. They harm rather than love and we reap the results...

How can you be at all surprised by this when the U.S. was based on the principal of the "pursuit of happiness" and individual freedom?

Like everything in our world there is the opposite side of the coin. But you cannot have one without the other. That being the case...

Are you more willing to live in a totalitarian state? One where the way in which you express yourself spiritually and religiously can easily be stamped out? Along with you?
