I was brought up Serbian Orthodox. As a youngster I had doubts about the existence of God. Then about four years ago while searching the Bible for scientific evidence to support "Intelligent Design Theory" I realized that I discovered a misinterpretation of scripture in the Bible, Torah and The Dead Sea Scrolls by our Bible scholars. After further research I discovered that no one else on Earth knew what I now know about scripture written from the God Yahweh's advanced scientific knowledge. This discovery once brought out into the mainstream public will force mankind to rethink who or what God is. Which the obvious answer will be a "Scientist". This will over time change the interpretation of this scripture found in The Bible, Torah and The Dead Sea Scrolls back into the scientific text that God originally wrote it in. This will lead to changing these books from religious books back into the science books God wrote them as. This will lead to the fact that no human at that time or now had that kind of advanced scientific knowledge to write this scripture. This will lead to the fact that a non-human "Intelligent Designer" exists to have written this. This will lead to forcing the world into believing in one God since no other religion can back up the existence of their god with scientific documents of their existence. This will lead to forcing the world into a one God belief system with out God even physically showing up on Earth. Oh. And one more thing. This discovery will also lead to disproving Charles Darwin's theory of evolution. I hope this was enough information for now to win your choice for best answer.

I was born into having Episocopalian beliefs (basically, Christian), but what keeps me from doubting these beliefs is that when I pray, things actually go well. For example, a relative of mine has been having major medical issues recently, and the prayers have been effective. Also, for some people, I guess it's nice to know there's an above power in control of it all.

I was born Roman Catholic, but left at about 15 and did some research on what else was out there. About 6 yrs later I came back to the Church because, while there are lots of things I don't like or agree with in the RCC, there is even more stuff I don't agree with in other denominations, and at least the RCC isn't anti-intellectual and pro-blind-faith.

Actually I would have to say I am non-demonational. I believe in the Word of God, Jesus Christ and not the establishment of religion as a means of worship. My belief is mixed and from a view point not labled. I respect your right to worship as you choose, and realize a lot of people believe how they were raised. I have grown in my spiritual walk and am still learning and growing, blessed in God's Grace.

I decided that I needed something more in my life. Christianity was what my parents besically grew up with. I was not Christian though, but I learned more about it and it really did make sense to me. I do not agree or believe things in other religions. It is simply that way.

Someone said you have only two choices: you follow the faith of your parents or you choose something else.

As for me, I do follow the faith of my parents. We were and are faithful churchgoers and it was there I heard about Jesus and His love. I have examined some of the doctrines of other faiths and other religions and decided that the Christian faith was the one for me. There were several books I read that helped me decide, too: the Bible itself, the "Bible Story" series (we usually saw Volume 1 in doctor's and dentist's offices), Josh McDowell's and Hal Lindsey's writings, and more recently the "Case for . . ." series by Lee Strobel. I hope you find the peace and joy one receives from Jesus Christ.

Most people are in the religion they grew up in. In other words the religion their parents picked for them.

Basically I am born Hindu. Hinduism helped me to draft my way of life based on Karma theory. Which in turn helps me to design my destiny based on reincarnation theory. It gave me freedom to be in-charge of myself.
Still it did not help me realise my own-self so I could get to know the SUP REM SOURCE. These thirst for KNOWLEDGE was quenched by RAJA YOGA UNDERSTATING. Which I realise was more of spirituality than religion
