No, he died for our sins and took our burden because he loves us.

You know you can tell alot by people's questions and answers too on this forum, right now I know you did not think this one through.
Your quote is yours because obviously you have not read or if you did read only one book from the New Testament you would know the difference.
Just because you know there is somebody out to get you and know you will end up dead doesn't mean you committed suicide right.
Yes Jesus knew His fate, but He did not back down, was always correcting the so called priests and leaders of the day and was proven to be without fault and yet the jews crucified and killed him anyway,it is called murder not suicide.
I would like to see you try and live through 1 % of Jesus' life I think you would be running to Him begging Him to take it back. Jesus did not create a religion, He taught His father's laws, this is not a religion, man made religions when they started to disagree on what was menat by this or that over trivialities they fought wars in His name, Jesus fortold this for He told His disciples, I tell you this generation will not pass away and the end will come, now many think that He was speaking of the end of times, while He was speaking of the End of the way He was teaching the truth, how the people approached Him for the truth and so on...and he was right, the church or disciples seperated before that generation was done and some went on to become what we know as protestants and others to become what we know as catholics, Jesus warned of divisions that they would only cause strife among the gentiles that a unision of minds was required to remain strong and steadfast in the work.
He knew we couldn't do it though, even with the help of the Holy Spirit in us, He knew what was to become of the world and the religious beliefs, but I think it is still better than what was there before He came. Praise Jesus.

Well, technically Jesus was tried and convicted by Pilate as the Pharisees wanted him executed for claiming he was the son of God and also stirring up trouble that could cause problems for the Jewish people in general. Jesus knew his fate according to the bible long before he was actually crucified. So, in knowing this early on and not preventing it brings up and interesting point. He knew that he had to sacrifice himself to redeem the world. I don't know if it is technical suicide but interesting take. Me: Buddhist:)

Nope, it's not called suicide. It's called SACRIFICE. If you throw yourself in front of a bullet to save your child, did you commit suicide? Or did your sacrifice your life that another may live? Suicide is the ultimate act to gain control over one's live. Jesus never wanted to control His own life, only to do the will of God.

No. Allowing others to take your life is not the same as taking your own, as the loss of life is dependent upon the will of others.
A soldier who is asked to undertake a dangerous mission in which he likely will be killed, in order to liberate his comrades, is not committing suicide, though it would be labeled a "suicide mission."

He was the PURE, SPOTLESS SACRIFICIAL LAMB OF GOD. He died for you and I, so that we have a chance to live forever.
When soldiers go to war, and get killed, do we call it suicide? No, they are HEROS. Because they made the ULTIMATE SACRIFICE, so that we may be free. That is what Jesus did. He MADE HIMSELF THE UTLIMATE SACRIFICE FOR ALL SIN, INCLUDING YOURS, so that we may be free of sin. Whether you accept that or not is up to you.

Innocent blood had to be shed so that our redemption could become a reality. If Satan had known of His plan, he would have never tried to kill Jesus Christ. It wsn't suicide. He let them take his life.
