Our clergy group is debating about a Protestant minister who is dating a Jewish woman. Some say it's fine and some condemn it. What do you think?

Actually it is my business since I am the man.

Is she cute?

Then by all means! :)

The only negative I could add here would be this:
Remember that people are hypocrites. Your relationship outside of your faith will damage their ability to accept your word. If you're more concerned with their ability to see past how you live your personal life and who you love, then you may want to rethink your relationship. If, however, you love her more than you love yourself then the answer is pretty clear.

Ironic though, isn't it? This sounds just like some of the "gays in christianity" arguments :)

This would be ridiculous for people to have a problem with, It would seem jealousy is at work here, And it would be pure racism on any other grounds. It is only dating.

It probably would be more inappropriate to date someone with in the clergy as this would or could cause conflict if it was to go south.

I guess one way to put it is it's "not kosher".
No way could a Jewish woman perform the duties of a Protestant minister's wife as she should. It would probably create controversy at any church he pastored. I doubt her family would be too thrilled either.

I think it's only the business of the two doing the dating.

This is a good example of the pretentiousness of religion. "I am tolerant and loving until it comes in my backyard". Personally I think it is fine, but there is a lot of prejudice out there. Good luck.

I don't think it's anyone's business who someone else dates, so long as the relationship is consensual.
