I've limited it down to Hathor, the Egyptian God; Ares, the Son of Zeus; or Cocomama, the supreme Incan God! Or perhaps we could go with something more contemporary like Yahweh.

Which one is worth worshipping?

None of the above.

If you are a true atheist, you shouldn't be worshiping any gods.

converting to a religion is not about which is worth worshipping. its about which one makes u feel more comfortable. which u actually believe is real and will help u live a happier life. people believe in god(s) coz they feel safer that way. i am an agnostic and i believe in a supreme Force that created the universe. i dont believe in any God, per se, but i am happy with my faith. it makes me feel secure and at ease with my self and with those around me. u just try to look for what makes u feel better with ur inner self. experiment with a few religions. visit some temples of places where there are other followers of this religion, and talk with these people. i am sure they will be happy to enlighten u. anyone who tries to force u into their religion should NOT make u think that the particular religion is not worth it. some people give their religion a bad name and that is a real shame. just try out a few things ok? and above all, read a few of the holy books those religions believe in. they will help u understand what they are all about. dont look for the trends. look for what the religion can truly offer u.

hope i have helped. best of luck!

Sorry, I have no insights into the Ancient Gods. I don't think their followers faired too well for whatever reason. Where are the Incas? They certainly had a thriving, intelligent culture.

I'm a Christian, so I would say check that out. Religion is personal and you have to decide what works best for you. Try the Methodist Church, if you have one in your area. They accept you warts and all--not much on drinking, though.

Coming to truth is not merely an intellectual decision. First you must reject humanism as your reason for being and accept the fact that God in all his glory is worthy to be praised, obeyed and loved. Humanism says the end of all things is the happiness of man. True Christianity says the end of all things is the glory of God. When you come to the point that you can humble yourself before almighty God and return the love to him he so richly deserves , you are at the place where you can have a personal relationship with him . He loves you so much that he came as the man Jesus and was tortured for your sins so you could spend eternity with him. That is the love he so richly deserves in return. We love him , because he first loved us. Come to Christ.

As a fellow atheist, I think you need to figure this out for yourself. Taking on a religion isn't just like putting on a new shirt. Religion is something you should believe in wholeheartedly, and if you're asking on yahoo answers which one is worth worshiping, then you're not ready to be starting a religion.

not any worth worshipping! Only one God worth worshipping all the time and everyday.
“Say: ‘He is Allaah, (who is) One, Allaah, the Eternal Refuge. He neither begets nor is born, nor is there to Him any equivalent.’” [Quran 112:1]
Allah is the arabic word of God

As far as I can tell, if you are truly an athiest, you are already a member of a religion. I would stick with it. That way, you won't have to wrap your mind around any faith based religion.

The best is the cult of Baal.
All you need do is buy a replica statue of Baal and bow down and worship it everyday. The children of Israel originally worshipped Baal before Abraham spoiled it all.

Well if you have to pick I say Zeus. Not to say Hathor isn't cool , but Zues was just pretty cool with the lightening thing. That could be though because I am Heathen. The whole Thor thing....*G*

Try Pagan. We only worship the Creator (by whatever name) and Mother Earth.

Just join that Unity Village place in Lee's Summit, Missouri, and you can still believe there is no god. You can just believe in your magic crystals. That's the perfect place for you and the perfect place for people who want to mess up the lives of others.
