You don't see "extremist jews" cutting the heads off journalists.
The nun covers herself by choice. The muslim woman does it to avoid being beaten or killed by other muslims.
edit: If you truly believe no muslim women have ever been beaten or killed for not covering themselves up you must lead a very sheltered life.

Well, sometimes extremism & oppression is in the eye of the beholder.
In reality, there is no law of God for or against growing beards or being covered from head to toe. (Except in Israel & those especially dedicated to the LORD weren't to cut their hair in OT times. Like Samson.) But I am not sure the LORD commanded this or not.
Only in man made religions. So? I think both women who have to (under mans law) be covered from head to toe is oppressed.
But I do believe that a woman should dress as to not stir the lust in married men. But sometimes men lust for the women covered head to toe. So? That is because of the mans imagination.
But in US, married men need to train them self to look the other way when a women is dressed provocatively.
When I dress to go to Church, I dress what I think is modest. I certainly don't want to be covered from head to toe. Jesus doesn't want me to dress with my boobs hanging out or having my underware showing. That wouldn't be good. I would get a spank, I know it.
But I think anyone who has to dress from head to toe because of mans rules is oppressed. God never told us to or not to do so. I don't think there is a word in the Koran commanding this either. Just man saying that God commanded this.

Muslim doesn't have to have beard to be a suspect. It is their own peoples deeds that brought them to this juncture. When some people do opposite (separatist) things from the main stream, and think they are wise and right, all others wrong, 0 tolerance to other religions, they naturally get alienated.

I think that is because most of the time with the Muslim women, the full covering is involuntary. If they did otherwise, especially in radical countries such as Saudi Arabia, they would probably be killed.
And I have never heard of a Muslim with a beard being called extremist.

thats just what the holy book of each of these religions says, i.e. the bible makes devoted people dress all over and the koran makes opressed people do the same and the torah makes men grow beards whereas extremist muslimks interpret a beard as a sign of their extremity.

Growing a hair peace is not religion, but what an individual has in his heart is!
Jesus never did grow a beard or long hair, that is a roman soldier tradition.
