Some are seeking Ultimate Truth (about the nature of reality and the existence of God). Some are seeking acceptance, some peace of mind, some the sublime.
If a religion says yes to everything that you want -- that is likely evidence that that religion is man-made (fictitious) rather than revelation from God.
Cordially,
John

DesiDan,
I really like what I read from the Wiccan Rider. We do not agree religiously but we have similar ideas. I believe that one should search for the TRUTH as he has said and faithfully follow it. He has done so. I believe the Bible is our FATHER'S Inspired WORD and have found a Church which is following it to the best of our abilities. My wife and I were baptized there and have been mambers for the last twenty years. He is absolutely right that as a Christian one should NEVER judge others and we should use the two ears that were provided twice as much as the one mouth to asses what is being said before formulating a response. Have a wonderful week my friend!
Thank You,
Eds

Well you should not judge. What is wrong with seeking? When people just blindly accept what they are taught without researching is that really honorable. If so Jim Jones would have loved you.
I have gone to many churches and it was to find the one that did things according to the bible without adding to or taking away from. I did find it and stayed there 25 years until my study of the bible proved the bible full of errors and contradictions so I chose Wicca.
The modern church today is full of people who can only say things they hear, they no nothing about scripture.

They are not trying to get a religion that says yes to everything they want. They are trying to build a deep and true relationship with God that is why they are seeking.

I don't think any worse of them for that. It seems they are searching in many places.
I couldn't say if they are searching for a religion that says yes to everything they want, or for one that seems right to them for deeper reasons. But, shouldn't a person use their own heart and mind to judge if a religion is right for them, rather than relying on someone else to tell them so?

Maybe the religions they went to didn't satisfy all their questions. They might answer a question like, "have a prayer in your heart, and you will find your answer" because really they don't know the answer. So they jump around looking for the coolest one that answers all their questions.

I think that going from one religion to another is dumb, why not believe what u want to?even if hat isn't any religion, insted of trying to find a religion that has what u want? my uncle has done this a cuple of times, 1st he was a Christian, then a Catholic, and a cuple of days ago he said that he is positive that he is Jewish.
to people who do this just believe in what u want, insted of trying to find something that has all that

There is a religion that suits every lifestyle you can think of.
Some people look for one that suits the lifestyle they want, some are searching for a deeper walk with GOD.
