Doesn't God judge the sin of homosexuality the same way he judges the sin of casting judgement on others? So when someone says, "you are gay and the bible says that what you do is an abomination...", isn't that casting judgement?

You do not understand what judgment is all about. What you are attempting to do is negate one sin because of an alleged other.

To say that homosexuality is an abomination is not a judgment, but a written fact. But, to say, "You are gay and are going to hell.", is casting judgment. The latter is a judgment, as it casts a verdict on the offender - we are not authorized to cast a verdict. Only the Judge can cast the verdict. After all, to say such a thing is presumptious anyway, considering we do not know how many days a person has on this earth, and that the Lord could turn their hearts toward Him and they would repent of their sin.

To state a fact of something written is not judgment. It is no more judgment than if you were doing 50 m.p.h in a 25 m.p.h. zone and I told you that you are speeding. I have merely pointed out that the law (written) and you are violating it. If you are pulled over and get a ticket, the fine you pay is the judgment, of which is not mine to impose.

So, to say, "You are gay and the Bible says that what you do is an abomination...", is stating a Biblical fact about the state of a person which is against God's design. It is not judgment. It is merely stating that one's life shows their distance from God, that the actions are in violation of the design and commands of God, and that if not corrected (repented of), God's judgment will take place.

No it really is not to your first question (sin is sin). Christians say this all the time, but it is no where to be found in the Bible at all. It is a mixture of thoughts and passages.

But the answer is no to your first question. If I am wearing an orange shirt and I say it is green, therefore lying, that is no where as near as bad as killing someone. And God surely sees the difference between the two.

And YES, casting judgment on a homosexual person is judging them unfairly.

It seems that whenever one person confronts another person over an issue, the statement "Do not judge!" comes up. Christians are often accused of "judging" in contradiction to what the Bible says whenever they speak out against a sinful activity. However, that is not the meaning of the Scripture verses which state, "Do not judge." When Jesus told us not to judge (Matthew 7:1), He was telling us not to judge hypocritically. Matthew 7:2-5 declares, "For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, Let me take the speck out of your eye when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye."

In Matthew 7:2-5, Jesus warns against judging someone else for their sin when you yourself are sinning even worse. That is the kind of judging Jesus commanded us not to do. If a believer sees another believer sinning, it is their Christian duty to lovingly and respectfully confront the person with their sin (Matthew 18:15-17). This is not judging, but rather pointing out the truth in hope of bringing repentance in the other person (James 5:20). We are to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). We are to proclaim what God's Word says about sin. 2 Timothy 4:2 instructs us, "Preach the Word ; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage — with great patience and careful instruction." We are to "judge" sin, but always with the goal of presenting the solution for sin and its consequences - the Lord Jesus Christ (John 14:6).

First of all.
hate the sin, but love the sinner.

You dont go to hell for casting judgement. But you can go to hell for homosexuality. Being gay is not a sin, its the act of being gay. Your allowed to be gay, just not act on your feelings, ie have a bf/gf.
The bible also says that you are suppost to jugde ACTIONS. Not PEOPLE.

i hope that helped a little. id being willing to clear it up more if you need.

Saying what you are doing is an abomination is not judging. Saying a person is an abomination is judging them. I do not have to like or agree with a lifestyle but I do have to love the person.

Yes, the bible says that everyone is given free will to serve God or not serve him.
So it is not anyone elses business what you do. That is between you and God. But it also says that Homosexuals will not inherit God's kingdom. That is not me judging you but reading you a bible scripture. I didn't write the bible so I am not the one judging anyone. It does seem that what rules apply to one person should apply to all.

No, just like it's not "casting judgment" to tell a fornicator or an adulterer or a thief that the Bible says that their behavior is contrary to what God desires of his creatures.

Yes it is. However, the frame of your question seems to attempt to minimize the severity of sin. Saying, homosexuality is sin like telling a lie, so its not serious to God, is false. God takes all sin very seriously, so much so that He sent His only son to die on the cross to expiate it.
