the sun literally created us by exploding the elements that make up our bodies throughout the solar system...the sun then graciously didn't go supernova, but stayed in the exact right placement at the center of the solar system to bless our planet with perfect temperatures to create an atmosphere that allows life to flourish here. the sun has gifted us with our very lives, and then blesses us each day with the hope of another day of life...he fills the heaven with the radiance of his glory...

now, global warming is obvious proof that THE LORD is angry and his anger waxes hot against his creation, so you might want to watch your arses.

Her rapist was found and shot in the head. But the brothers of the young girl killed her. They said that she dishonored her family. The one brother said that after a woman is raped she is like a broken glass.

Is this a traditional Islamic practice or belief? How is it the innocent girls fault?

Why does so much of the punishments and rewards for Islamic fundamentalists revolve around sex?

If it was built for the resurected prophets that Rutherford said would be brought back to life in 1925, why was it sold in 1947? What is the real story? Please, no nasty remarks! I am only asking a question because I feel like we all have the right to ask questions! Thank you!

Out of the christain books or other books I possess in my private library, this one has really edified my walk with christ. I enjoyed reading our history and getting a clearer understanding of the purpose of the church. Also the many references to scriptues and the prophecies of the bible, help me to understand the last days of earths history. How about you? God bless.....ya prince.

Yes I know, that the 12 stones represent the 12 tribes of Israel. And had the names of each tribe written on each stone. But did they ( the stones ) actually do anything? Why would God want them used?

you know, sharing it with everybody--shedding it for the remission of sins--this was obviously NOT a popular choice, seeing as so many people wanted him dead--what do you suppose his reaction to the "good religious people" of the time was when they tried to discourage him from doing with his body exactly as he pleased?

Really such or do you not agree with any organised religions?

Or are you truly faith based that there is no creator or god out there?

It is a theory, a theory that has been put a lot of effort into it. I will hand it to them they wasted a lot of there time trying to figure stuff out, but at the end of the day its still a theory and should not be taken seriously.

For over a year I have basically lost my faith in God and life after death. I finally accepted evolution as an undeniable truth, and will not force myself to believe that religion and evolution can correlate with each other. I'm basically an atheist now, but I hate being this way. I hate that I can't believe, but at the same time i honestly can't truely believe in that stuff. I hear a lot of people who are atheists say that they still feel a purpose, but I can't find one knowing that the lights go out and that's it. I am a great college, and I could be very successful, but I can't see the point. I just want to sit and cry over the fact that I'll never see my friends and family again. Even when I try to forget it it creeps up. Every day I feel so depressed. I'm 19 why is this happening to me. What kills me the most is those that have a horrible life and that is it for them. that hurts. Does anyone else feel like this? Life makes me so sick when only a few years ago I was fine.

A few minutes ago I answered a question about the symbology of the "Jesus Fish." I said it was a vagina. Apparently, many thought I was making a rude joke.

The following excerpt is taken from http://www.seiyaku.com/customs/fish/fish.html

"Neo-pagans are often quick to point out, that the fish is not a Christian owned symbol at all, but was derived from a sexually related image. The fish symbol was often drawn by overlapping two thin crescent moons, signifying a woman's cycle. (See also Lunate Cross.)

In Babylonian mythology, a fish pushed a giant egg out of the river Euphrates, and from this egg emerged the mermaid and fertility goddess of the seas, Atargatis. The son of Atargatis was named Ichthys. There are a few other Pagan goddesses and gods that manifest themselves as dolphin, fish or other sea creature, and most seem to be connected with sexuality. The oval outline of a fish was compared to the shape of the womb.

Is this actually supposed to imply that people who 'believe' in the scientific method are Religious in that respect? If so, I'm wondering what people were doing in 6th grade.

Do you honestly think that...Oh..What's an example...A computer- Do you BELIEVE in computers? (Which are products of the scientific method.) Do you BELIEVE in medicine? Or math? Or, ANYTHING? Virtually everything you come in contact with in your daily life (with the exception of trees, water, dirt etc) was man-made and is a product of the scientific method in some way. Are there people out there who actually think 'science' in general, is a religion? I mean you have no trouble taking medicine developed by scientists using the scientific method (EVEN if that medicine may fail or cause harmful side-effects) Yet 'evolution' is some myth those evil scientists came up with to brainwash the masses. Maybe the vast majority of the United States should be some extreme Amish sect or something.

This is a fact! In addition, FYI, it's written in many books in his biography! he accepted that the theory of evolution was good, but not the true, historians say that he declared himself believer of God, in his last years, Of course people will not communicate this to the public, because it will ruin many organizations, teachers and schools!

I see a lot of statements blaming religion for causing harm in the world. Yet there have been non-relgious movements that have killed plenty of people, they are just not as common because religious beliefs have been dominate in society throughout history.

Isn't the religion just a tool? Guns don't kill people, people kill others with guns - isn't it the same with any belief system? Isn't it true that they act as the justification, not the cause?

I see non-Christians make claims like the quote below all the time on here. Does any Christian actually believe this? I consider myself a fundie but I don't believe this. If you are leading a life of sin you are not a Christian. What do the other Christians here think?

"It makes fundies really difficult to talk to sometimes because they truly believe they can sin as much as the want as long as they love Jesus."

What in the world did this poster mean by

"2x daily I cover my daughter in the blood, I pray over her, pray in the spirit, place a hedge of protection around her, and complete spiritual shield of amour."

Does that sound just a tad superstitious and "magical?" How the heck do you cover someone in "the blood" and place a hedge around them with a shield of what I assume is armor (I really don't think the poster knows French).

Is this common christian teaching and how do you do it?
