Hmmm.... Could it be that subtly is lost on all those who answered your question? I think so!
I believe that they were very wrong if they rebuked him. Jesus (and the rest of us) has the right to do with his (our) body (bodies) as he (she/we/they) pleases....

1914 replaced right into a pivotal year. For CT Russell besides. each thing hinged on that year for his fake prophesies to come again authentic. there's a lot concentration on that year that they won't be able to get off it no rely how a lot genuinely information there is that arriving at 1914 replaced into performed by using utilizing occult procedures and incorrect dates to do the calculations.

The Bible documents what He said to Peter:
Matthew 16:21 From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day.
22 Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, “Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!”
23 But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.”

Since the people of his day knew not what he was doing, they could not have tried to discourage Jesus. In fact, it was the "good religious people" who demanded his death. Why would they do so, if they wanted to discourage him? You should study your Bible. Your question has no validity.

I doubt he chose to be killed. It's hard to tell what, if any, part of the New Testament really reflects real history, since it was written decades after Jesus died, if he existed.
Surely, the writers of the NT portrayed Jesus as boldly going to his death in the knowledge of his ressurrection. However, like most obituaries, the truth is most likely far from that.
If Jesus existed, he was just another of many religious zealots of the time that pissed off the local authorities and got himself killed.

"Behold, it is written by them of old time, that thou shalt not commit adultery."
"But I say unto you that whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her, hath committed adultery with her already in his heart."
"Behold, I give unto you a commandment, that ye suffer none of these things to enter into your heart"
(Matt. 5:29, 31).
"If thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell" (Matt. 5:29).
"For from within, out of the heart of men," Jesus taught, "proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man" (Mark 7:2123).
Many in society today treat lightly the commandment to be sexually pure. Premarital sex and extramarital relationships are far too commonplace. Promiscuity threatens homes and destroys families. Christ invites us to leave worldliness behind and become His disciples:
"If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross and follow me.
"And now for a man to take up his cross, is to deny himself all ungodliness, and every worldly lust, and keep my commandments.
"Therefore, forsake the world, and save your souls"
(Matt. 16:2526, 29).
