We will be leaving candles burning on the graves of our loved ones. Then, we will gather at home for a meal in their remembrance ... and end the evening by saying prayers for each departed family member, finishing with the rosary.
Don't worry Father K, I'll be at Mass for All Saints as well. ;-)

ybennoach, thank you for answering. As a Catholic and a Celt, I have my own ways and traditions. But this is exactly what I wanted...to learn about the ways of those who believe differently and from different cultures. I respect your beliefs and have known many upstanding Wiccans/Pagans in my lifetime.

I'll be hosting a free psychic event in the basement of my dorm. The altar at the center of the room will host a cauldron with a candle inside. People who come for readings or energy healing may put pictures or names of loved ones who have passed around the cauldron on the altar to honor them. After the reading and healing time, there will be spirit board readings for groups and, perhaps, a more complex, Wiccan ritual honoring the dead. Rememberance and acknowledgement of the wisdom of the dead is how I plan to honor them this week.
I am a Pagan and a practicing Witch.

honestly, being there in the 2nd they die makes the adaptation lots extra spectacular. i'm an previous hunter, and that i've got had a great number of pets, and that i've got been there whilst human beings died. The unexpected substitute is spectacular and the extra so counting on the complexity of the animal, unrelated to how close i grew to become into to it or enjoyed it or no longer. To me it sounds like something unexpectedly leaves. So i've got self assurance in souls and that even animals have smaller, much less complicated ones. i will think of of no stable thank you to degree the adaptation, a minimum of no longer without a thousand million greenback examine fee selection and no ethical scruples. that's yet another one to ask St. Peter approximately, if i'm getting the prospect. At 7:30 P.M. on Friday evening, right after Vespers, I and thousands of other Catholic Clergy will be celebrating the Holy Mass for All Soul's Day - a requiem Mass for the Church - I will be reading a list of names I have been given (the list is over 300 names long as of this morning.) We will be praying for the Sweet Repose of the Souls of all the Faithful Departed, that they, through the mercy of God, will rest in peace.

I will be participating in a liturgy (reading the Litany) at St. Joseph's Chapel at the convent of the School Sisters of St. Francis - which just happens to be where I work.
I will also be attending Holy Mass every day of the week.
In addition, I will be praying the Rosary and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy every day for the Repose of the Holy Souls in Purgatory.

I've never done anything like that, and the thought of it is foreign to me. Nothing to do with religion either.
When I first read the question, I didn't understand what would be so special about this week and then I had an aha moment. Oh... Halloween and All Saints day. Not to be disrespectful but I never knew of any practices like that.

There are two ways of looking at Halloween. Sure, from a Christian
perspective it's not especially great to have the kidlets dressing up as
the devil and whatnot. On the other hand, look at it from the devil's
perspective. You revolted against God and fell from heaven in this
primordial struggle against God Almighty Himself. In your titanic pride you
had high hopes of establishing yourself supreme in the universe. You
committed your greatest act of terrorism against God when you convinced His
own precious Adam and Eve to revolt against Him. You brought death
into the human race and you thought you had it made when God, as it
appeared to you, insanely chose to become human. On Good Friday you finally
had Him in your hand and you killed Him with all the savagery your
fallen angelic mind could invent. And now, for two thousand years, you've
been watching your revolt crumble as the Risen One turned all your
schemes into life for your victims and mockery for you. Now, so far from
ruling the universe, your face is on some stupid mask worn by a
6-year-old and the creatures you hoped to destroy are writing meditations
like this one to pull your pointy nose and remind you that the Christ you
killed has defeated you utterly.
Memo to Satan: Happy Halloween, loser!

i think honoring the dead a slightly dramatic term.. however, i will remember my loved ones who are on the other side of life by lighting candles for them and am going to make a big cake to celebrate them.
i am a psychic medium and so have fairly frequent contact with those who are no longer living here with us - so its not so unusual for me to say thank you to them for helping as best they can from their position! lol!
what will you be doing?

I honor my loved ones who have passed by trying to implement the lessons I learned from them into my daily life... but nothing on any specific day or week. for example, my grandfather taught me to have enough security to laugh at myself and to have a sense of humor... my Grandmother taught me to find beauty in everything. When I do these things I think of them and reflect lovingly on the impact they had on my life.

It's the feast of the 'Holy Souls' in the Catholic calender and there will be masses celebrated for them. I will be thinking of my beloved twin who died 3 years ago. May she RIP.
