Why do morons persist in asking this question? First, try understanding what theory means as it relates to science. Here, I'll lend a hand:
theory (a well-substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world; an organized system of accepted knowledge that applies in a variety of circumstances to explain a specific set of phenomena)
Now, get some information on the difference between micro and macro evolution. Maybe that's where you're getting confused.
I am well aware of the fact that Evolution ( I capitalize here to denote the type you are so against) is, at the moment, only a theory. That does not mean it shouldn't be taken seriously. The Scientific Laws of Thermodynamic, gravity, etc. were once only theories as well.

A scientific theory is not the same thing as the word theory as you use it on a day to day basis. For example, when I talk about the theory of gravity, I'm basically using a different word than when I say "I have a theory that the Yankees are going to go into extra innings."
I'm not going to bother going into the differences. They're down below if you're interested, although I can't believe you fell for this one. But now that I've cleared it up for you, you finally believe the truth, right?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientific_theory#Science
"In scientific usage, a theory does not mean an unsubstantiated guess or hunch, as it can in everyday speech. A theory is a logically self-consistent model or framework for describing the behavior of a related set of natural or social phenomena. It originates from or is supported by experimental evidence (see scientific method)."

Well since you have no idea what theory means in scientific terms, would you care to explain the Law of Fossil Session to me and how creationism fits in? See the fossils are sorted in the geology. A relative order that life showed up on the planet can be determinate independent of any dating. There is no way a single random event like the flood would sort things so pristinely worldwide. Here is a nice simple chart on a US Government website that has no agenda: http://pubs.usgs.gov/gip/fossils/succession.html
This chart is a little oversimplified, but it shows 7 major cuts on the animal side, and 6 on the plant side. A flowering plant is NEVER found in a Pennsylvania period Geologic layer for instance. If creationism was right, they should be as common there as they are in Cretaceous layers. They aren't there at all. Conifers (Pines) showed up in the late Pennsylvania period. They should be as common in Devonian layers as they are in the Jurassic layers. They aren't there at all.
The actual record is much more complex. Individual species don't show up out of order. So a T-Rex wouldn't be in any layer other than a Jurassic one.
There are no other competing scientific theories that are consistent with fossil succession. That makes it a fact.

Evolution is defined as a change in allele frequencies in a population over time. This is a fact. It has been observed in many thousands of examples.
The "Theory of Evolution" is defined as the theory which explains this fact.
A fact is defined as a statement about reality for which the evidence is so strong that to disbelieve it would be simply foolish.
A theory (as used in science ) is defined as "a coherent group of general propositions used as principles of explanation for a class of phenomena" .The term does not imply tentativeness or lack of certainty. For instance The "Theory of Human Sexual Reproduction" is the theory that explains where babies come from. The Fact that Human Sexual Reproduction is a theory does not mean babies are brought by storks.
The Theory of Evolution uses propositions such as Mutations and Natural Selection to explain the fact that Evolution occurs.
A law is a statement describing a relationship observed to be invariable between or among phenomena for all cases in which the specified conditions are met.
In science laws and theories are two entirely different types of things one does not become the other. Laws are not facts either. Laws are statements describing relationships, most often in the forms of equations.
Unfortunately, extreme ignorance of basic scientific terms is rampant in the United States. Unfortunately creationists seek to increase that ignorance and to take advantage of it.

Every single Atheist that I have ever come in contact with believes in this fairy tale called evolution because a) it is convenient, and b) fear. I'm not saying every Atheist believes this way, it's just the ones I have talked to.
I find it hard to understand that atheists can't believe in God, but believe in dinosaurs. Talk about fairy tales. I understand that when I watch a Godzilla movie, that is movie make-believe. Monsters didn't walk the earth.
At the end of the day, evolution is not a theory, it's a fairy tale. God isn't. God is fact, and everything written in the Bible is 100% true, accurate, and all prophecies has happened, and will happen.
That is not a theory

I tend to agree with you. I completely understand how the term is used in the science community but it does not mean that I have to accept that it is correct. Until the missing link is found Evolution remains an interesting possibility. And given that we now know Neanderthals and Cro magna man lived at the same time it is less convincing than it was. The truth is that we have no idea and you can twist and turn the words but the truth is the truth. You may be able to observe evolution in bacteria however we are not bacteria. You can observe forms of evolution all over the planet and it still does not mean that that's how we got here.

Atheists erroneously believe that there's a contradiction between evolution and the existence of God. They believe -- erroneously -- that if evolution is true, then God must not be real.
Atheists don't see the possibility that evolution could have occurred -- and could still be occurring -- within the framework of God's creation.
Atheists believe -- erroneously -- that if evolution is true, it means that the Creation story in the Bible isn't true. They believe -- again, erroneously -- that we Christians all think that the Creation literally took place in six days. Not all of us do.
In short, atheists don't want to admit that evolution is a theory because they think that by "proving" it as a "fact," it will validate and prove their own atheism. But even if evolution were true, it would not prove that there is no God.

Many things are "theory". And most theories SHOULD be taken seriously (until replaced or amended by further theory or evidence).
Why do they not want to admit it's a theory? Probably for the same reason that some people don't want to admit that "creation" is just a theory.

Electromagnetism is a theory, so perhaps you should shut off your computer. If you are going to use a lay-definition of theory, evolution is fact, by lay-definition. If you are going to use the technical definition of theory, evolution is incredibly well-tested and well-evidenced science. Mixing the definition is just a typical Creationist deceit.

Everyone who is educated in science and evolution states it is a theory. But why shouldn't we take a theory seriously? I am just going to say you are ignorant to what a theory is, and not try to explain why for the 1000th time.
hint: "still a theory" is in support of evolution. To be against evolution, you don't want it to still be a theory.
