Even some Wiccans have a Hell, the Winter Lands, that isn't permanent. Hell is most often a spiritual state of mind like a deep depression. It is sometimes described as being separated from god's love. Which is supposed to be about as painfull as you can (comparable only to dying in flame forever) get since we require god's love to live.
Hell as a physical place may come from the idea that when you are dead and buried you are effectively in storage until the "Day of Judgment" when you will be sent to an actual physical hell. As such it doesn't exist yet.

Well when you die your soul goes before god to be judged. You may have to wait for some time as there a lot of people who die everyday so he is really busy judging people. When you finally get to him he will pull out your ledger look at it and be really mad because you did not live as he had dictated. He will probably shew you out like nothing you have ever heard before because you had been warned to live a good life and you disobeyed his law. It will be a very tough time for you and then he will road, point his finger, and send you off to hell. Hell is located somewhere in the middle of earth where there is fire all of the time. You will be there with all these other bad people some of whom have been there since the beginning of time, and they will be really mad. I am sure you can imagine how awful it will be having to live with all these burning people who were bad to begin with. It is definitely not a place you want to be. From time to time god stirs the fire to be sure it stays hot and sometimes it vents out through the earth, this is when volcanoes explode. You can also tell when things are getting pretty bad in hell with a lot of fighting as it rattles the earth, and we have earthquakes. You should be really scared of going to hell and feel as guilty as possible about any transgressions you might have. If you do and are really lucky god will let you into heaven. You never know though so do the best you can and I am sure you will be scared most of your life, but maybe you will be one of the few chosen ones and will miss out on hell.

It's not a spiritual place the word was taken from Sheol and hades which mean the common grave of man kind and that is all, the teaching of it as a place of torment is untrue, look up the words? Adam was told he was going back to the dust of the ground, wheres this hell at the torments?

Hell is the grave. To tell someone "to go to hell." was to tell someone to die.
The popular concept of Hell is a fictional stupidity created by clergy in the dark ages to scare people into obedience, thus, cramping their God-given free will.
I would like to know, exactly how Hell was introduced to the Christian Old Testament while not existing in the Jewish Bible in the very same stories.

You can travel there.
The latitude of Hell is 42.434N. The longitude is -83.985W
It's in Michigan, in Livingston County, which is the Detroit metro area.
And to answer your question, it works like most small towns really, nothing all that special or noteworthy.

According to the Bible, its a place of eternal punishment and torment for our spirits. There is references to it in the Bible if you are wondering, read a Bible that has a concordance, which is like a directory where to find things in the Bible. I take it very seriously that Hell exists. I am a Christian and I believe it.

You have to file your application first, wait to be called for an interview. If you make that one, you get a second interview, and if you pass that one you will go to the third and last interview. There is so much to the interview that it feels like it takes a lifetime.
Lots of luck
Or you could just chose Jesus.

It is represented in many, many, obscure religions that never met christianity so just recognizing that tells me that there is some reason for the concept. I believe hell is personal and whatever is your greatest torment on earth will be repeated over and over in hell.
