I'd probably just leave things alone and let history run it's course because we've been gaining ground steadily for the past few centuries.
As long as there isn't a regression we just have to wait for religion to crumble into oblivion.
If you want to do something though there are still some taboos that need to be broken about criticising religion so breaking them would be a good idea as would having somewhat good relations with the more moderate branches of religion (though our relations with the liberal churches will always be strained we often will agree with them on some issues where their greater numbers might be useful) though recognising that we don't agree with them and gaining the right to criticise them as well.
Using force probably isn't the way to do it (though it could be effective if you don't do it half-heartedly) and by the time we have the ability to use force (without risking serious reprisal) we'll have pretty much already won anyway and would be unlikely to need it.
We also couldn't claim victory if we used force (for the same reason that Christians and Muslims can't claim that their religions are good because they have so many followers).

>I want to launch a stealth campaign to convert the masses to atheism.
Sounds like a good plan.
>Where should I begin?
Hmm...Yahoo Answers isn't so good because not very many people see each individual question and answer before it falls off the bottom of the page. You should try going on forums (primarily religion-oriented ones) and talking about how most of the world's religions contradict themselves and stuff. Starting a website or, better yet, a blog, is also a good idea.
Good luck!

Wouldn't this be de-conversion? Your problem is going to be Christianity. I think you greatly underestimate its ability to reinvent itself.
Christianity owes its longevity to the fact that it absorbs and incorporates anything it can not continue fighting against. It has in the last decade or two stopped fighting against ecology and absorbed it. I'm old enough to recall Christian groups protesting that ecology was against god, the bible and Christian beliefs. Now it has absorbed ecology.
We're seeing a movement right now by Christianity to absorb its old foe evolution. In the decades to come only the most extremist will deny the Christian belief that "god in fact created evolution". You only need to look around for proof of this.
What you'll find is that it will be like pushing on an icecube. Once you stop pushing it has become something else. Once you've made the point of your argument Christianity will not only agree with you but have made it doctrine that god did what you're claiming.

Since Atheism isn't a religion I don't believe you can convert anyone.

I seriously believe that would entail massacring most of the population, and threatening the rest. After all, that's how Christianity took root. You can't convince the peasants of anything by reason, or even common sense, or (least of all) decency. They're the "slaves whom stripes may move, not kindness!"

Prove without a doubt that there is no God, and that the Bible holds zero truth. Get all theologians, biblical scholars, on your side. They would have to agree and show the world the exact same.

Well. I don't advise trying to infiltrate the gov. like the Scientologists did.
But, try to teach science to those who are truly naive of such things. They will come to it on their own.

I don't know. I guess you have to be an "undercover atheist" like a certain fundie has started accusing me of.
