ok, so give me your opinions, thought or beliefs on this situation.

i understand being a homsexual is a sin in christian faith. So take this example. What if a blind lady and a homosexual person went to the same church for years and years, both had strong faith and wanted to be healed. The blind person wanted to be healed of blindness and be given the ability to see. The homosexual wanted to be healed of being attracted to the same sex and to be straight. Everyweek and every church meeting they get prayed for to be healed.
they continue to do so for the rest of their lives. the blind person was never able to see and the homsexual was never "healed" either.
It was up to god to heal them. and he chose not to. does that mean the church still discriminates against the homosexual when all his life he wanted to be healed.
If god chose not to give the blind person sight, does that mean he can also chose not to heal the homosexual?

what are your thoughts. thanks. -agnostic.

So I used to be very fundamentalist Christian. I was very active in the Church and youth group. I know what is like to FEEL and KNOW God. But about two years ago I stopped being fundamentalist and became Inclusive Monotheistic. Obviously I believe in God, but I don't believe there is only one path or way to God. I don't believe one religion is right while another is wrong.

Because I have FELT and KNOWN God in the past, I still feel and know God now in my new religious convictions and experiences. Yet if I bring this up on R&S, I get more thumbs down than a red headed step child. Why is that? If I have peace with God, feel God, know God, how can you say I'm wrong? Just because I don't believe every word in the bible (and have done enough historical research to question the bible with abosolute validity) how can you say I'm wrong?

I know what its like to have a relationship with God, and just because I'm no longer Christian doesn't mean that relationship has gone away.

Num.31:14, 17, 18: "And Moses was wroth...And Moses said unto them, "Have ye saved all the women alive? ... Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman, ... But all the women children ... keep alive for yourselves."

I went to this Halloween-type thing called "Judgment House" at a nearby Church with a few friends. In a nutshell, you go into several rooms and in each room it has a different scene showing someone's death and judgment

One of the rooms was Hell. It showed characters being tortured and burning right in front of us, screaming in pain the entire time.

At the end, an "Average Joe" Christian spoke. His exact words were, "What you have seen tonight is a portrayal of people and how their decisions affected their afterlife. It doesn't matter how good of a life you lived. If you do not accept Jesus, you are going to Hell."

Actually SEEING "Hell" seriously scarred me for life...I had always known what "Hell" was and what Christians believed, but now the images of torture are forever burned into my eyes. They kept preaching, "God loves the world so much He gave us His Son to save us." Yeah, He loves us SO much and SO unconditionally that He'll let every non-Christian suffer for eternity?

...when we can clearly see other animals, particularly primates, participate in homosexual behavior. Since animals cannot commit sin, then is homosexuality a sin, or is it not?

This question earlier says the Bible has been proven false but did not give any examples. (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AtuYfx2ZUnW02gjL0Vh_pSPsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20071027204848AANFNhJ&show=7#profile-info-9724ec2e180400040f13c8e93577edcdaa )

I am curious about WHAT parts of the Bible have been PROVEN false?

I am confused on the different points that people have on either topic and would like some different points of view from people to state their case for their belief. Please no answers that say" because the bible says so" or " anything about dinosaurs". I would like specific answers that are short and to the point. I do not have an opinion either way, but would like to learn some more about this topic to help me make a decision. Thanks

They love talking about God and His word. I read so many answers that defend their God. Now who can dispute that?

I seen that this question has been asked before but this is from a different slant. We are given a rhetorical question from Romans chapter 8, the answer of course being, 'nobody'.

But is that really true? Does simply having God on one's side rid them from all enemies? Let's see, Satan is definitely against me; demons have made it clear they cannot stand me. I do not think the guy behind me with the gun, demanding cash, is a team player. People in Iran view me 'an American' as the Great Satan, they certainly are not in my corner.

I know God is 'for me' that's a given, but the added--who can be against me I have to take from the perspective of God encouraging us to unity. What's your take.

It would be sick! The body count would be like 2 million! If it is made I think it would get an "A" for adult rating because it shows people being stoned to death and I think the game play would either be like a third person shooter or first person. and they should have like a GPS weapon where you move cursor around and whatever its on top of will get smiten (by God supposedly). It would be like a mix of Spartan Total Warrior,Halo,2,3,Prince of Persia series, and Crack Down with some surival horror. Im talking about a game where you actually play as Jesus and other biblical characters that have a system like Fable where you can gain exp and lvls and you never really die just get very old as time progresses like the game could start with the birth of Abraham and end in the year 3000. Also melee wepons could come into play like crobars and as time progresses closer to present day you could get gun. Online multi-player capabilities will just add more to the fun!

...... we know anything?

I think everyone is an agnostic deep down. Some try to fool themselves by saying they know one way or the other, but how can we know? If God is so much higher than us cosmically, we are but microbes in a petri dish being studied. Maybe we'll get to the end and see a gigantic eye looking down at us.
