Perhaps it means that your actions must speak loader than your words. GOD wants to see our faith manifested in good works, not lip service.

Preach the good news through your actions.. Let the things you preach be shown through your lifestyle, instead of only as words. Put your preaching words into action!

This sounds like the classic "actions speak louder than words." If you're always preaching with your actions, then you're always remembering to act in the way you wish the rest of the world to act.

Greg Laurie (a popular Christian pastor - the one who does the Harvest Crusades) has a great saying along the same lines. (Encoraging Christians to set an example and actually live what the preach.)

He says: "You are the only gospel most people will ever read."

You can't preach well enough without talking. If you only do the actions, others might misunderstood so you should tell them verbally also.
