So I used to be very fundamentalist Christian. I was very active in the Church and youth group. I know what is like to FEEL and KNOW God. But about two years ago I stopped being fundamentalist and became Inclusive Monotheistic. Obviously I believe in God, but I don't believe there is only one path or way to God. I don't believe one religion is right while another is wrong.
Because I have FELT and KNOWN God in the past, I still feel and know God now in my new religious convictions and experiences. Yet if I bring this up on R&S, I get more thumbs down than a red headed step child. Why is that? If I have peace with God, feel God, know God, how can you say I'm wrong? Just because I don't believe every word in the bible (and have done enough historical research to question the bible with abosolute validity) how can you say I'm wrong?
I know what its like to have a relationship with God, and just because I'm no longer Christian doesn't mean that relationship has gone away.

William B, Pangloss, etc., it is wonderful to hear that others feel the same way that I do and thank you for the responses.
As for a few of the others,
what makes your belief any more truthful than mine? You say if I believe 1+1=3, then my belief does not change that fact that 1+1=2. I'm not arguing that perception changes reality. However, how do you know that YOU have the right answer to the equation? Perhaps you're the one believing 1+1=3. What makes YOUR belief right, and mine off? Your proof is no different from mine. (Personal experience).

Not only do I not think you are wrong, I think you are very articulate and intelligent.
"I don't believe one religion is right while another is wrong."
I agree with this statement completely. If more people felt like this, the world would be a lot better place.

As long as you believe in God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit, who am I to tell you that your way may be wrong.
There are many different religions and denominations that touches the heart of God everyday. When you live your life through the Spirit of God, you are heading in the right direction.
I'm Christian, non-denominational, I'm not here to judge anyone. It takes all of me, prayer & God to keep me on the right path.
Life is so short and why people keep killing others supposedly because of differences in religious opinons have missed the boat. Hell is thier only option!

The only church on earth with an unbroken 2000 year tradition of extraordinary scholarship and theology, going all the way back to Jesus and the apostles, and then, going all the way back to the beginning of time, is the Catholic church.
Anyone who attempts to make up their mind about God and his divine will, without undertaking a serious and scholarly study of all that the Catholic church teaches, for the purpose of our salvation, is objectively guilty of the sin of negligence, and will likely have a lot of explaining to do, come Judgment Day.
These are just a few excellent Catholic resources:

There is only one truth, thier cannot be several, why there cannot be more than one religion, people need common sense they make thier own deal, I think they want it thier way, but that is simply not the way it is, I can't say I have a million dollars in my hand and believe it to be true, do you think that million dollars is really in my hand. not!!
God gave us the truth in that book, you know the one that has been around the longest, the one all the Christians got burned alive for, do you think they would of done this if they truly did not know God was waiting for them, in todays age people create thier own God, and we are severly warned against it, they murder in the name of it, does that sound like a God that loves, no. because it is not.
God, The God, The only God, you know the one who actually created us, Loves us, and sent His only Son to the cross for us, the only One Completely free from sin, went to the cross as a sacrifice for Us. So that we could be forgiven our sins and be with God, you could not of been a Christian, and then not be, If you truly asked Jesus into your heart, and you believe He went to the cross for our sins, you asked for forgiveness and turned from your ways, you would not be having this dilema, It would be very wise for you to sit down, and open up your heart and mean it and ask Jesus into your life, because you can't just one day, not love Jesus, you do or you don't, You are saved by the grace of God and Jesus going to the cross, or you are simply not saved.

I really believe there is only one way to God, Jesus. Do you know that whether you believe Him or not , He still loves you sooooo much! God is always constant, never changing, always faithful, always loving! But don't you ever ever forget He is also just!
May I suggest a good book to read: Driven By Eternity by John Bevere.

Well, duh. EVERYONE knows that a certain group of people have a monopoly on religious truth. Adhere to what they say, or you are a moron and completely wrong.
Seriously though, props to you for saying this, it needed to be said. I am not a Christian, I'm Wiccan, but I get the same thing just for that. How can a small group of people claim that what they believe is right and what the rest of the world thinks is wrong? Its utterly ridiculous.

The answer to your question is very simple. Whatever religion you choose is the correct religion for you. Whatever religions the other 6 billion people on earth believe is right for them. I have no right to try to convert you to my way of believe than you do me. Fundamentalist Christians have no right to tell anyone that their way is the only way and if you don't follow their way you will certainly go to hell.
Believe what is the way for you. Because that is the path you have chosen.

Jesus would disagree with you:
Joh 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
So would John:
1Jn 5:11 And this is the witness: that God gave us everlasting life, and this life is in His Son.
1Jn 5:12 The one having the Son has life. The one not having the Son of God does not have life.
1Jn 5:13 I wrote these things to you, the ones believing in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have everlasting life, and that you may believe in the name of the Son of God.

If someone knows, feels, believes and has faith that 1+1=3 and you know it to be two, doesn't that make them still wrong or does that deep belief make it suddenly right because they have faith?

To answer your primary question, no, probably not.
However, I'm a red-headed step child. I think I'm going to need therapy now.
