Lucifer was a worshiper in heaven, was beautiful and lead the angels in praise. When he got big headed and wanted to rise above God. God hung a clock on him and cast him out of heaven. God gave him time. It was that very time that made him hate us.

Satan thinks he is better than God - that's why God threw him out of Heaven. He already used angels to get on his team (now called Demons)
Who else does he have now to toy with? Humans. I don't think that it's so much that he HATES humans, it's that he is USING humans in his fight against God. Satan wants his evil to win out over God's good and love, and he is willing to use us to do that.
He is alive and well, and he is trying to WIN by any means,
to get the most people to join his side.
This is all explained in the Bible. This theme is discussed in many books of the Bible. What I said is a summary.

Jaman.... My theory has always been that satan "hates" mankind AND Jesus, because of jealousy......God made the world for humans....God puts His Son AND mankind above the ex-Angel that used to be well favoured by God... satan is also limited to what he can do on this earth, yet, probably had free reign on other world's God may have created.....and, he knows that God will not change His mind and that satan is "doomed", yet, God gives mankind many many chances....
My opinion, lol :)

Satan's name was once Lucifer. God's most beautiful creation. His position in heaven was extremely high. When sin and rebellion caused his fall along with a third of the angels--which means he did have appeal--animosity for not only God but God's chosen festered in his heart. He knows his destiny, where he will spend eternity, and he wants to take as many human beings with him as is possible. I guess it just shows that a 'free will' is just that. He made the wrong choice.

One idea is that he hates humans because God made them to worship Him, and that was Satan's position in heaven, he was the head worshiper. But, yeah I think it is his way to hate God, because God loves people.

Compared to him we are weak, frail, rubbish. Yet God chose to put His image in us, His glory upon us. We are cherished by God above all spiritual beings. Its rather insulting to Satan. Yes, he also hates us because he hates God. When he looks us he sees God in some way or another (the imago dei). He's reminded that God rules here.

People's beliefs of Satan range from the silly to the abstract: from a little red guy with horns who sits on your shoulder urging you to sin, to an expression used to describe the personification of evil. The Bible, however, gives us a clear portrayal of who Satan is, and how he affects our lives. Put simply, the Bible defines Satan as an angelic being who fell from his position in heaven due to sin and is now diametrically opposed to God, doing all in his power to thwart God's purposes for humanity.
Satan was created as a holy angel. Isaiah 14:12 possibly gives Satan’s pre-fall name as Lucifer. Ezekiel 28:12-14 describes Satan as having been created a cherubim, and was apparently the highest created angel. He became arrogant in his beauty and status, and decided he wanted to sit on a throne above that of God (Isaiah 14:13-14; Ezekiel 28:15; 1 Timothy 3:6). Satan’s pride led to his fall. Notice the many “I will…” statements in Isaiah 14:12-15. Because of his sin, God threw Satan out of heaven.
Satan became the ruler of this world that functions apart from God, and the prince of the power of the air (John 12:31; 2 Corinthians 4:4; Ephesians 2:2). He is an accuser (Revelation 12:10), a tempter (Matthew 4:3; 1 Thessalonians 3:5), and a deceiver (Genesis 3; 2 Corinthians 4:4; Revelation 20:3). His very name means adversary or “one who opposes.” Another name used for Satan, the devil, means “slanderer.”
Even though he was cast out of heaven, he still seeks to elevate his throne above God. He counterfeits all that God does, hoping to gain the worship of the world and foment opposition to God's kingdom. Satan is the ultimate source behind every false cult and world religion. Satan will do anything and everything in his power to oppose God, and those who follow God. However, Satan’s destiny is sealed – an eternity in the lake of fire (Revelation 20:10).

Because he hates God and he knows that God loves us. So it is to hurt God. Plus, he's just evil. He hates everyone - there is no love in him.
