I seen that this question has been asked before but this is from a different slant. We are given a rhetorical question from Romans chapter 8, the answer of course being, 'nobody'.

But is that really true? Does simply having God on one's side rid them from all enemies? Let's see, Satan is definitely against me; demons have made it clear they cannot stand me. I do not think the guy behind me with the gun, demanding cash, is a team player. People in Iran view me 'an American' as the Great Satan, they certainly are not in my corner.

I know God is 'for me' that's a given, but the added--who can be against me I have to take from the perspective of God encouraging us to unity. What's your take.

God meant what He said that those who oppose a true christain will not ever defeat him. This does not mean that we will not have enemies and they will make our life not very pleasant. What it means is even if they do kill you, you will still be in the Fathers hand and those who oppose you will reap the bitter harvest that they have worked on for so long.

I think it means that all those people who are against you are nothing compared to God. Certainly they're there, but what can they do? Even if they kill you, they only send you to heaven faster. They can't win if God's already won for you.

If God if for us, I'm scared.

That being has a habit of persecuting the people he supposedly created... wiping them out with floods and rains of hot things that kill them. Yes, Yes... I know, he's promised not to do it again. But why did he do it to begin with? That's a mean, vindictive, selfish god who doesn't deserve the adulation he's given.

That if God is for us, which He is, than your eternity is assured thru Jesus and that no matter what we face, God's will will be done. Nothing will come to us that is not first father filtered.

Didn't somebody defeat god in battle with iron chariots?
Doesn't sound like it's all that hard to do.
