It truly amazes me how so many on Yahoo Answers go on the attack when it comes to Jehovah's Witnesses, when really they are the only ones that volunteer their time to go preach door to door all over the world.

You don't preach but you claim to have the truth?

If you saw someone who had passed away walking in front of you, and then disappearing, what would you think? Would you assume it was a ghost, that your mind was playing tricks on you, or something else?

Also, what are your religious beliefs?

(Inspired by a girl who said that ghosts are demons in disguise. I'm wondering if you were to actually experience something like this if you would rationalize it to fit your current mindset, or change that mindset.)

If less powerful, then isn't God's father more powerful than he?

Thousands of years ago (when the old testament was first written), people believed that the earth was flat and that lightning and thunder was God getting angry. We now know better. Yet why do people refuse to accept that religion is the same way: all the miracles written about in the bible were probably works of nature or science, but because they didn't know any better, they described them as miracles.

Why do people believe in the bible so deeply, knowing how much has changed in science in the past 5-6 thousand years? (since the old testament) Why do people believe, knowing that the bible was written by MAN (who, by definition, is imperfect) and passed along through word of mouth? It's like the game "telephone"...so much could have been lost in translation.

All because of your unqualified, condeming attitude you actually made someone leave Christianity. Someone who was actually a sincere person, but due to your words they felt that this can't be real. They think because of your words youare so cruel and abnoxious I don't want to follow those poeple anymore. I will go follow Jesus on my own.
And don't think this is about me. I am very strong in my faith of a lifetime.

Maybe I should change my name from "Catholic Crusader" to "Automatic Thumbs-Down".

It is fascinating to see: I post an answer, and BLAMM !!! i get thumbs down. Sometimes I get thumns down and I'm the only person who posted an answer. That's a neat trick.

Sometimes, I will post the same exact answer as other people, and they get thumbs-up but I get thumbs-down - for the same answer. That one is hard to figure out.

Sometimes it happen so lightning fast that it catches me by surprise.

Well, I do get nice emails from people who say they like my answers, so I guess its not all bad.

Does anyone else experience this?

Will everything in the world happenig to fast do you think the end of the world is coing? It seems like the news has a good impression on making it sound like it is the end of the world. With all the murders the war and the viruses killing people and all kinds of bizzare things.

If the nations decide to go against the will of God, when it is said in Revelations 21
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

This will happen with Physical Armageddon or with Spiritual Armageddon. The choice is at hand, and so is the Judgement for the nations under God. And God not of Israel, but of all, God's chosen people is Mankind, and and the child of attention is the worst of the house. What is your opinion?

"Teacher, 21 which commandment in the law is the greatest?"

"You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind." Mat 22:27

Isn't that amazing? It isn't about not to steal this, not to do that or do this, but simply to love Him, with all of your heart.

always in a "feeling" we have?
Or must we always seek the WORD of God-- KNOW His word, and acquire Godly wisdom to tell the difference?

What I mean is can someone just walk around, without having sought God's word "knowing" they are doing His will because they "felt" Him tell them what to do in their hearts. Or is that a bunch of bologna! What does God say about this? Scripture references will get best answer!

These are given without the parents permission! these are children from 11,12,13,14 years old! This has happened in a school in the city where I live! I think it encourages children to be sexualy active years before they are ready.

I was sitting in my chair and all of the sudden, I arched my back, my eyes went dark and I closed them, my head tilted back and from nowhere my whole body was effused with an immensely overpowering tingling, and I felt a wash of cool/warmth flow through my body.

Does this sound like anybody else's experience with the Holy Spirit, or do you think it might have just been a rush of endorphins/hormones? I mean it's not like I'm a Christian or anything. I'm atheist. So I think it was just because I was thinking about somebody who I miss a lot and that makes me smile every time they cross my mind, so obviously it couldn't have been the Holy Spirit, but I bet a lot of people confuse this for the Holy Spirit.

I guess by now you've realized that I'm trying to make a point (huh-duh?). This is for real, BTW. This really did just happen. And I really, really love the person I was thinking about. So isn't it possible that this could happen when you're thinking about God, whether or not he exists?

Since you believe he had one, are they equal in power or is his father stronger? Why don't you worship his father instead of him? If God decided to destroy his father, could he? If not, is he omnipotent?

Whether or not you want to admit it, religion brainwashes people. Just like military bootcamp. You have to do everything you are told, and they turn you into a soldier with a soldier mentality. With religion, you are made to believe in certain things, and you are told that if you don't go to church every week, and praise the lord, you are commiting a sin.

And there are lots of religious people I know who are just religious because that is how they were raised, and they were told to believe that. They don't even have any other reason as to why they are religious, and never really thought why they are. Ridiculous.
