always in a "feeling" we have?
Or must we always seek the WORD of God-- KNOW His word, and acquire Godly wisdom to tell the difference?

What I mean is can someone just walk around, without having sought God's word "knowing" they are doing His will because they "felt" Him tell them what to do in their hearts. Or is that a bunch of bologna! What does God say about this? Scripture references will get best answer!

If you need to hear from God, read his "love letter", the Holy Bible.

There are three steps to knowing the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God.

Surrender yourself to God as a living sacrifice. Be obedient to all His will that you will discover; and be a DOer of His word, not just a hearer.

Secondly, stop being conformed to the world, stop being like the world, be like Christ as best as you know how.

Be transformed by the renewing of your mind, and let your mind dwell on Christ and the word of God.

If you do these three things you will discover the will of God.

You will find His will is for YOUR life, and you will find it to be "good", acceptable, and even perfect!!!

To make a long story short, "God’s will" for us is that we live a "holy" life.

Rom 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

Phil 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

1Thes 4:7 For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.

Luke 6:38 Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

John 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

This last one can be hard to swallow when your life is full of troubles. How can the bad parts of life be for your good?

The short answer is that you get stronger by exercise and you can't see the whole story yet because you're living it.

If someone carries a baby all the time, that child will never learn to walk. Learning to walk means falling down... a lot.

Out of deepest tragedy, God can craft your life into a glorious victory and blessing for yourself and for others. Let Him!

It will be worth it all, when we see Jesus. Our trials will seem so small in the peace and safety of eternal paradise with our Lord!

While certain ministries of the Holy Spirit may involve a “feeling,” such as conviction of sin, comfort, and empowerment – Scripture does not instruct us to base our relationship with the Holy Spirit on how or what we feel. Every born-again believer has the indwelling Holy Spirit. Jesus told us that when the Comforter has come He will be with us and in us. "And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him: but ye know Him; for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you" (John 14:16-17). In other words, Jesus is sending one like Himself to be with us and in us.
We are not filled with the Spirit because we "feel" we are, but because this is the privilege and possession we have in Christ. Being filled or controlled by the Spirit is the result of walking in obedience to the LORD. This is a gift of grace and not an emotional feeling. Emotions can and will deceive us, and we can work ourselves up into an emotional frenzy that is purely from the flesh and not of the Holy Spirit. "This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit" (Galatians 5:16, 25).

Seeking God's Holy Will is the greatest thing one can pray for. Above all else, God wants our lives to mirror that of His Sons. To do this we must submit completely to the teachings of Christ and what He taught the Apostles, we must 'take up our cross and follow Him.' Create a distrust of ourself and a confidence in God. Walk in faith and not by sight.

God's will can seem (or even be) harsh or us. It can be accompanied by different feelings or emotions that we can often mistake. Never be lead by your emotions. They can deceive you and draw you further away from the truth.

Know God's Word, that is know Jesus from the inside and not just intellectually through reading the Bible. In time, your habits and your priorities will change if your willing to yield to the Holy Spirit. Be patient.

We should continually pray and seek after God's will. Sometimes things happen and don't happen so people just say it must be God's will or it must not be God's will. The truth is that He wants you to read the Bible and pray. When he makes a promise in His word, remind Him of that when you pray. He is always at work around us, we just need to be looking for what He is doing and join Him.

The Holy Spirit indwells each & every believer at the point of salvation. From there on, we grow in grace & knowledge. The Lord Jesus Christ becomes more & more prevelant in our every day lives as believers.

I always refer to the popular verse:
2 Corinthian 5:17
"If any man is in Christ, he is a new creation. Old things have passed away; behold....all things have become new"

God's will for our lives is that there is constant renewal & growth in the Spirit.

Hope this helps.....praise God!

No, it is not a feeling.

Feelings are fine, but I've been in way too many churches where that feeling is taught as identical with the Holy Spirit, or God's will.

Feelings come and go in humans. Half the time we don't have much control over them.

God's will has to do with the knowledge that He is working in us and leading us with our without "warm 'n' fuzzy" feelings.

Hosea 4:6 "My people perish for want of knowledge."

We must follow God's word to see what to do and not trust our feelings:Thy word is a . . . light unto my path." Psalms 119:105.
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works."

Dear,

God,
He, who creates all things in proportion. He, who designs all things. He, who gives glory and dignity. He, who has wisdom in all matters and actions. He, who created all beings from nothing, without referring to any model or design. He, who restores all beings. He, who gives life and health. He, who creates death.
