Maybe I should change my name from "Catholic Crusader" to "Automatic Thumbs-Down".
It is fascinating to see: I post an answer, and BLAMM !!! i get thumbs down. Sometimes I get thumns down and I'm the only person who posted an answer. That's a neat trick.
Sometimes, I will post the same exact answer as other people, and they get thumbs-up but I get thumbs-down - for the same answer. That one is hard to figure out.
Sometimes it happen so lightning fast that it catches me by surprise.
Well, I do get nice emails from people who say they like my answers, so I guess its not all bad.
Does anyone else experience this?

To "Riegan-megaVT" I come across as a threat? Interesting. My first ten contacts were all girls. I thought I was just a big old teddy bear

I personally love it when I answer the question "Are you Atheist or Christian?" by answering Atheist and automatically get "thumbs downs".

They're gonna give you thumbs downs no matter what your name is. Most people only read your first few sentences especially if it's long. If they disagree with you on the first point they're going to assume that they disagree with you completely.
I should know I do it all the time. There are some people on here who give thumbs downs to anyone who posts a really long answer because they don't like to read that much. I've been a victim of that before.
And some people just don't like you. Like me, every time I see an answer posted by CJ. I give him a thumbs down. Well not every time only the ones concerning Catholicism.
Thanks for giving me the best answer the other day. It made me feel better.

Brah, I've never thumbs down'ed you (only thumbs up) ... but with a name like that you can be sure to get automatic thumbs down from any Muslim, regardless if the q&a has anything to do with Islam. The muzzies are still bitter that at least the Catholic church had the b@llz to take a stand against the evil MUSLIM CRUSADES and respond with their own crusades in defense of Europe. Unfortunately many of those fighting were corrupted by war and lowered themselves to the level of the muslims. However, our lovely left wing history teachers like to only tell us about the Catholic atrocities and forget to mention the Muslim atrocities were more numerous and infintely more vile than anything the Catholics did.
I have the same problem as you. If I dare answer a question posed "TO MUSLIMS" I can be sure to get at least a half dozen thumbs down, often more

Forget the thumbs down. Continue to do what I do, keep on telling the truth. I answer questions not to get best answers, but to inform those who do not know, a correct (as far as I can) answer. My % best answer is down, but I have no regrets, and am not a sycophant or a toady.
I personally have had violations for 'feed the children' and 'be kind to animals'. I still can't figure some people's motives.

Comes with territory! Get use to it...........
You are standing tall and constant, hopefully they are at the very least skimming what you say. We are blessed to live in a country that even has this awesome forum.
I read your post, sometimes I agree other times I don't and sometimes it is just plain over my head. I want to believe your motivation is to state what you know because it seems you do your homework and not allow the thumbs up or down business affect you.
You are passionate so please continue your spirtual journey!

Maybe you could change your name to "Please give me a thumbs up". Who cares, I mean really? Maybe some people don't like your name and its implications. Maybe people don't like the way you word your responses. Maybe some don't like your grammar. Maybe some know that you are concerned with the number of thumbs down you get. Maybe some people read your response during their perusal and didn't notice the other responses that were "exactly" the same as yours. Maybe some people thought a question was interesting enough to look at, but did not have a response and didn't like yours. Maybe some people just don't like you.

Well, calling yourself a catholic crusader probably doesn't help. Its offending to others of different beliefs in a way because it makes us feel like your trying to change our faiths to yours, like Christians who feel they must educate and "save" everyone - regardless if that is what you are trying to do people may take offense....I've read some of your answers, and I do think you have some great answers...people can just be jerks sometimes, and come on this is yahoo answers..most of the people on here are kids, or immature, or home all day and not so educated...I really did hope there were more educated smart people on here...but so much of it is nonsense...

You "take it to em" and don't beat around the bush.
I personally employ a bit more subtlety when I defend the Catholic Church.
I think you are doing an exemplary job, but some perhaps perceive it as condescending or arrogance. Also, many do not want to hear the truth the Catholic Church proclaims. She was never without her enemies.

I think some people are just going to thumbs down catholics in general. Others will thumbs down your specific responses. Etc...
I think some of your posts are funny, some are well thought out, and some I completely disagree with...but then again, I actually think before I thumbs up or down.

Be who you are and what you are. The thumbs down mean you have struck a nerve. Most do not like to hear the truth especially when it shows the error of their ways or thinking. I learn a lot from you.
