I think that it might have something to do about not harassing others about what kind of food they eat. If I am not mistaken, early Christians had differing ideas about what they could and couldn't eat (some ppl following a kosher diet, others not).

I read alot of questions and answers on here and it seems that alot of theists completely miss some jokes or get angry about humorously worded questions/answers.. here and there you have malicious ones that we should all ignore but it would help if people lightened up.. If someone asks a silly question give a silly answer... don't get all bent out of shape, laugh a little make fun of yourself... we should all be able to laugh at ourselves once in a while, and not take things so seriously. Overall I see a much easier sense of humour among atheists on this site.. sometimes almost to a fault but still quite amusing and funny. What say you??

we are not mentealy retarded in sin. For God said HE can do all things, your job is to ask.

he will not force his ways on you, but is angry that you do not follow in his ways. If you followed in his ways you would be perfect. If the Lord make's me perfect, I will change the way the church looks at things. For no longer will man have to be a slave to sin, if a man can defeat sin. Not just hide(safe by the way) in the cross. I am not talking about getting to heaven, just to be like Jesus. For he came to show us how to walk, not Just be a sacrafice. If Jesus can walk perfect, so can we. If Jesus had power, so can we. We can all be Jesus if we have the faith, and only the potter can make Jesus.

No, you wouldn't. Because most people are just born into their religions. No one actually thinks it through before joining the band-wagon.

Granted, some of you may have "changed" religions, or a miniority of you have "sepcial cases", but it is true for the most part. (and yes, i know there are some xians in Iran...duh)

Brainwashing from a young age.

Luckily 25% of young people between the ages of 15 - 28 are Atheist. Up 257% from previous decades.

Booyeah....boo..yeah.....

What about the mental disorders religious faiths cause (i.e., manic-depression, bipolar disorder, delusions, schizophrenia, etc.) ?
believing in something illogical and irrational (official definition), shouldn't faith itself be classified as a disorder?
And if this seems like an absurd gesture, is it because we're so used to religion in our lives that we can't possibly imagine 1/6th of the entire world is in fact insane?

How unfortunate for the sane, logical free thinkers of the world

Okay frankly I dont wanna go to hell. But I also dont wanna go to heaven as it is nothing without the people you love who some might be in hell. And also I dont want the chance of being reincarnated and coming back to this $#!T#0L3 of a world that manking has messed up and will keep messing up. And frankly I dont feel like being here when the world ends or the rapture comes.

Which is why I dont want an afterlife. I just want an eternal sleep and no afterlife. So yeah, why do I need to go to hell or heaven? What if I dont want either?

I was reading somewhere that, statistically, people with a higher IQ are less likely to have as much religious faith as those with a lower IQ.What do you think?Does having a higher level of intelligence coincide with disbelief? At least on average?

For instance, a person with an average to low level of intelligence who sees something they can't explain might think it's a miracle and leave it at that while someone with a higher level of intelligence sees the same thing and can and will scientifically examine it, find the cause for it, and then explain it.

Also, from a religious stance, a person is less likely to question what their religion tells them.Whereas someone without belief in religion is more likely to question everything in order to arrive at a conclusion rather then just the stated one.

get closer to their family? Does it really matter what church you go to, as long as you go? Does God care, and would
he see your reasons for switching as self-centered and weak?

My friend is Christian, she prays before every meal so I think she is devoted to her religion. Her birthday is coming up and I'm thinking of getting her a Jesus bobblehead. Is this not a good gift? I'm not trying to insult in anyway, but I just think it would be a good surprise.
