For example.. Celibacy, it is true that priests who have taken a vow of celibacy often become deviant. All those suppressed sexual urges simply seem to set them up for failure or worse pedophilia... I am not saying that all people who take a vow of celibacy become deviant I am saying that it seems that supressing natural, instinctive needs of the individual have a negative impact on the overall mental health of the individual. Just recently there was a question about this and the person really seemed to be suffering from such repression. I dont believe that sex is wrong, I believe that it is natural and normal and that healthy, sexually mature individuals benefit physically, emotionally, spiritually and mentally from responsible sexual activity. Why does religion look down on such a positive thing? If you love someone why should you deny what comes naturally? Why would a creator instill these urges into us humans and then tell us to deny them? it makes no sense..

....the Church would consist of this: Music , Meditation, Prayer.
No sermon. No dogma. No one tries to force their personal beliefs down anyone's throat We all meet quietly in one room, and focus on creating an atmosphere of Live and Let Live. Would it - could it - actually work ? Is it possible?

(Btw - I'm stone cold sober, and I hav'nt smoked that stuff in years, k ?:) So Whattya think ?

Let me ask a question that is more food for thought than anything. I know I am about to be ridiculed but I can live with that. On to the question.

When God created Adam and Eve, He created them full grown. They were never babies. They were created as adults with a certain age. So although they appeared to be say 25 they were actually only 1. Could He have done the same with the Earth. Could the Earth only be a couple thousand years old but God created it older the same as He did with Adam and Eve?

I praise Jesus for this lucky coincidence of being born where the right religion (of course that's Christianity) is dominant. Does anyone feel sorry for the African and Amazonian tribes that have to go to Hell because they've never heard of this Jesus fellow? Oh well, it's only eternity.

Revelation 21:8: "But the fearful, and unbelieving ... shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone."

In my last question I was asked to make predictions and told that I contradicted myself. I was also told that the Bible is perfect and that it does not contradict itself. If the Bible is perfect explain Genesis scientifically?
My point is that God doesn't inspire you you inspire yourself through the though of him. God exists in the minds of those that are willing to die to protect their way of life, be it by taking a bullet for your wife or flying planes into buildings. When one goes writing about God they had better weigh the consequences. God is not our creator nor is he a being that can hand you the things you pray for. If your child is sick and their fever is high, do you pray for them to make them better or depend on Hospitals and Science to protect them? If you believe God will heal Cancer you have been to one too many evangelical healers. When I said "God wants" it can only be taken as "I want" What is dangerous about not wanting people to follow Deuteronomy 13:6-10

The Light Bulb God I like the most is PeeWee Uranus. PeeWee Uranus is the god of butts and urane. Without him, we wouldn't have That Uranus joke and we would go peepee into our trees instead into the toliet. He is the son of The God "Urectee Amore" which he is responable for our organs. PeeWee Uranus made a planet with is named after him so that we will know about big butts and farts that will make us laught with joy, even from O.J Simpson when he farted at loud in the court room.If you believe in PeeWee Uranus, you don't have to read them bookz agian.

LET IT SHINE -

The real power of Christ's light makes itself known when it shines forth in life's darkest hours. If we have been given adversity, we have also been given a good opportunity to witness.

It doesn't take the Spirit of Christ to be nice to nice people, nor does it take any divine spirit to be generous when one has wealth. Show me a poor person who sacrifices his own necessities for the welfare of strangers. Let me see persons who remain kindhearted to people who mistreat them. Show me a person who knowingly passes up a chance to destroy their enemy. When a person does these things, they are not acting according to human nature, but against it. The most valued attributes of mankind do not come naturally to the human animal; character borrows from the divine.

No matter what our situation may be, there will always be a profound way to represent our Lord. Christianity is extreme and we shouldn't settle for mediocrity or allow our walk to become a shuffling gait. Our best witness is a life lived for Christ!

Indeed, the sacred secret of this godly devotion is admittedly great: ‘He was made manifest in flesh, was declared righteous in spirit, appeared to angels, was preached about among nations, was believed upon in [the] world, was received up in glory.’ 1 Tim. 3:16 NWT

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. 1 Tim. 3:16 KJV

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14

God can't lie. Titus 1:2

Jesus was only a perfect man, not God in flesh, Reasoning from the Scriptures,
1985, pp. 306.

Ummm who's lying? Seems obvious to me!

Seems like God did a "Ooopsssyyy!"
With that one. He created us right? Therefore we are products of his design, right? Ok, then why would he say that Sex before marriage is a sin, then create us with hormones that rage as teenagers?

I've just seen someone call my religion the domain of teen girls, and that it's completely bogus. I've seen people of ALL faiths-Christian, Jewish, Muslim, and even Wiccan use their beliefs to belittle others and put down those who don't believe as they do.

Why is it so hard to see that this isn't right? Even IF you believe your religion is the true one, why is it so difficult to give other religions the same respect that you want yours to get? For some of you, at least, isn't a key tenet "Judge not lest ye be judged" or "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" or even "Evermind the rule of three"?

What's wrong with this picture? Why are people using religions that are supposed to spread love and understanding to foster divisions and hate??

On this day of the feast of of the Korean Martyrs, Eustace, Vincent Madelgaire, Yves Mayeuc, Francis de Posadas, Thomas Johnson, John Davy, and companions (martyrs), and John Coleridge Patterson (at least according to some Anglican nutters) we pray for peace on earth and a call to brotherhood amongst men. Of Christ, of course. All others should look away now. This is for my daughters, wife, and all real Christians (Catholics):

John Davy was a saint
Who didn't like to paint,
Yves Mayeuc was a Frenchman,
Who had a place in Potsdam.
The Korean martyrs were Asian
Thus said the large crustacean
Vincent Madlegaire cooked
Spaghetti like a crook.
Thomas Johnson came to rule
The deep end of the pool
Francis de Posadas came
With an annoyingly long name.
Eustace liked to spread
Her Vegemite on bread,
What else can you expect
From a frigging Aussie?
John Patteson was a saint
Except he really ain't
The martyrs carried meats
On their golden teats.

ALLELUGHAH!
