Your question is hysterical! I'm ROFL! Between my giggles I'm wondering what historically near-sided moron actually believes that the "teenage" phenomenon has existed in every culture throughout history? It's a newer phenomenon not to get married as a teenager. It's a recent (last few centuries) western custom to wait until you're in your twenties. God didn't mis-create people, we just decided to wait until our hormones were dying down to marry people.
Try picking up a history book for a change and reading about the effects of the second industrial revolution on the age at which women were marrying. This would be a good place to start.

Was it a sin? You committed the act and what is done is done. Once done, there is nothing that can undo it; it is a matter of history. According to most Christian doctrines, sex outside of marriage is considered a sin, how serious is up to interpretation. This alludes to one of the doctrines that I truly dislike, the whole idea of original sin; the idea that mankind is unilaterally contracted to live in sin, based on the error of Adam and Eve. (who ever even met these two anyway?) I digress. Technically, according to your doctrine it is sin. It may be that you will be badmouthed, or his grandfather may even be badmouthed, but you do not have to allow that. I think love can cancel this "sin". By the way, according to my beliefs, this would not be a sin at all. Doing what is natural and good (in this case finding a mate and the two you procreating) can't be sinful. I believe that "sin" is concept of motivation and not a negative doctrine. Is it a sin, is going to depend on who you ask, I hope you and he take some time and ask yourselves and each other. Good luck, and congratulations.

Because biologically we are supposed to be procreating when we're teenagers.
The sound practical advice of no sex before more marriage assumed that marriage would occur during the teen years . I don't think that the original authors ever antcipated that any 20 year old women would not have been married at least once .

I don't think this is his "oops" as much as it is ours.
In bible times, when people became sexually mature, they married. Most people on here probably have at least one set of grandparents, great grandparents or great great grandparents that got married in their early teens. We are the ones that decided...and only quite recently...that other factors are more important than sexual maturity when determining if someone is old enough to get married. We're the ones that decided that every person should be compelled to control their desires for several YEARS. Paul said that we should try to remain single but that if we couldn't control our desire, we should marry to avoid sexual immorality (better to marry than to burn). We're the ones that KNOW how strong those hormones can be and thought nothing of suggesting that our children should "burn" for years before we think they're old enough to get married!
I'm not suggesting that we turn back the clock and start marrying our kids off at 13, however, if we want to keep them kids beyond the point of their sexual maturity, perhaps we owe it to them to be a little more careful about the contact they have with things that can make them burn before they are old enough to get married.

The sexual revolution has romanticised and glorified sex out of all proportion.
The sexual revolution began in defiance of Biblical principles.
The sexual revolution legacy is millions of illegitimate births, shattered personalities, divorce, abortions, and rampant sexual diseases--some of which are incurable.
God expressly forbids irresponsible sexual behavior, in order to spare us the disastrous consequences. "The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord...Flee from sexual immorality All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body" (1 Cor 6:13,18, NIV).
Why is it so easy for you to blame God when God gave you free will to choose to do the right thing?
God created you to be a blessing to Him. Are you doing that?
Why are you so weak that you are choosing to be like your 'kind' and copy cat their actions? Why are you so weak? Why aren't you doing the right thing instead of following the sexual lust pack? Why can't you claim responsibility for your actions? Why can't you be accountable? Why are you so lost????
Are you going to stand up and be responsible when a pregnancy occurs? When a STD occurs?

That's why in the old days they're married very young. As soon as the testic**** grow and as soon as the girl menstruate.
Nothing wrong with the creation, it's people these days dont want to get married and rather have sex out side of marriage.
That's seems accepted as normal in western country; it's not quite so in other countries.
It's called hypocracy or frustrated.
But for christians, if they really want to follow Jesus, then they should not married until after 30 and should not have sex.

Because it takes high levels of hormones to bring about the rapid changes that take place during puberty. Is there some reason why you think physiology and morality should be interrelated?

In Biblical times they married very young. Remember the life expectancy was very low. No hospitals, poor sanitation. Disease ran wild. Most couples married as teenagers.

you know, for the same reason that my drive to get drunk is right before I have to get in a car.
Hormones coming on line is not an excuse for fornicating.
We have an explanation for that in the Bible: don't have sex before marriage. (in Leviticus). If you obey God's design plan, you won't have the diseases of the Caananites and you won't die young.
(who by the way, were reputed to be riddled with STDs and had a very low life expectancy as a result).

Well back in the old days the girls did get married off pretty young like 16-18, as well as in some existing cultures. But I guess you could think of it as a test He gave us, a really really hard test. But if you're trying to tell me God is stupid and it's his fault you can't keep it in your pants, I'm not buying that one.
