Hell yeah!

And if God didn't want me to get stoned and eat cheetohs all day then he wouldn't have given me a high metabolism to begin with.

I just don't understand why God didnt let me win the lotto so I really could do it all day.

If God didn't want you to die of poisoning every time you got a little in your body, He'd have given you the ability to metabolize it too, right? Think about the relative implications of this for a minute.

Right, BUT, all things in moderation. The human body is amazingly resillient against the many myriad things that can invade it, compromise it, weaken it or disable it or kill it. But what we ingest, should be done with wisdom and moderation. Like anything else people have the ability to go overboard to an uhealthy or harmful use of alcohol. That's the catch.

Where are your scriptures for the statement you make above? Alcohol was used to preserve the fruit juices and other things in the Bible times. They neither had preservatives nor tight containers. They used skins and animal intestines to keep wine and it was not considered pure enough to drink unless the alcohol had purified it. Wine was used as a medication. Paul told Timothy to drink wine instead of water for physical problems.

I've never read anywhere in the Bible where alcohol is prohibited, only becoming drunk.

Jesus turned water into wine at a wedding - wouldn't that be kinda hypocritical if the Bible says not to consume such beverages?

God doesn't want us to become drunk because He knows bad things happen to people when they are under the influence. That one isn't too hard to figure out :)

Phillip,
I imagine that GOD made us able to do a lot of things that are unhealthy for us... Don't YOU? Drinking alcohol is just another of them. HE also made it possible for us to die from falling, burning, drowning, and being stabbed. HE also gave us some senses that keep us from doing really stupid things, Didn't HE. Have a wonderful weekend.
Thanks,
Eds

He also gave you a brain that tells you when you are overindulging. Its not the drinking that God has a problem with...Jesus made and drank wine, but you dont hear of him getting drunk and making a complete fool out of Himself. Its called self control.

First off....She??? What makes you think God is female? If so wouldn't God create woman first :-) It says in the Bible don't give in to drunkeness. It doesn't say you can't drink. Jesus drank wine.
