This is just a sign of the errors being taught by "religious" men who don't even know the ONE TRUE GOD personally.

Jews, Christians, and Muslims all worship the one true God of Abraham.
"Allah" is the word "God" in Arabic.
The language does not matter:
+ Allah in Arabic
+ God in English
+ Dieu in French
+ Theos in Greek
+ Dios in Spanish
If one is in discussion with an Arabic speaker then calling God "Allah" would be polite.
If there are no Arabic speakers present then calling God "Allah" seems going a bit too far.
Remember God is the title or role and not God's name which is an entirely different discussion.
With love in Christ.

Yes I did. It was on several news outlets. I'm not that surprised. There have been quite a few Chatholic Bishops, Priests, ect. that have stated "unconventional" thoughts. Some have publicly stated such things as, "there is no Hell", Jesus was married. Jesus' father was a Roman Centurian, bla, bla, bla. This is just his opinion. The Holy See will decide how to deal with it. Some times people are just being sensational. I am a little concerned, however, about some American Chatholic Philosophy. I hear people say things like, "I would go back to Church, if the Church would lighten up, and get with the times" On topics such as premarital sex and such. I don't think right and wrong change with the times. I hope there is never a schism between the "American" and "Roman" Church. By the way, I call him God, because that's the way I was taught. I am not that concerned with what we call him, it's what we beleive. Jesus taught us to live by example. He called him Father. He taught us that we were all equal in the eyes of God. We will be jugded by our acceptance or rejection of God. In most Western minds Alla brings to mind the Koran, which states that some people are better than others. For example, don't ineract with Christian or Jews, because they are pigs and dogs. I find this contrary to the souls of loving people.

Catholic priests deny every other teaching of the One True God so I guess I'm not too shocked by that. they're too eager to do whatever they want with religion. Catholicism is wrong anyway, on so many levels.
The one True GOD is NOTHING like allah - especially in the fact that He does not require His followers to murder themselves and millions of fellow people in order to be saved.
God is of Justice but also of Love. He punishes those who refuse Him or otherwise deny Him, or His commandments. Yet He is so swift to forgive and love and bless.
May God be praised forever!!!

We actually call God "Allah" in my Church.
I don't see the problem.
(Oh, Syrian Orthodox. I'm sure that will come up. My congregation is about 50% Arabic-speaking, and about 10% Greek-speaking.)

I am Catholic and it is plain that here we have a perfect example of a rogue Bishop ---one who is so close to schism it is not funny---there are several like him too, very sad to watch.

Sigh... he said it. We all have our fools and heretics. Happily, he is only a year or so from retirement. I pray for the believers under his spiritual care - I can only think perhaps he is addled?

Oh I see, and you are one of the people who does KNOW the "one true god" personally right? hahahaha You know as much as they do, in your ignorance you should all get along. I think that Catholic bishop was probably sick of people like you claiming omniscient knowledge of god.....

i think that this was another example of the church at it's worst. Its sad that people dont see the everyday miracles happening in mass. All these scandals are nothing in comparisson to the millions of people converted through the power of Christ and his Church on earth.
