Its about the relationship. You have to have a continual love-relationship with God. The strengthen of faith happens through that relationship.

Also, when I think intellectually about my faith it really helps me too! But that also occurs out of a relationship.

1. Read the Bible
2. Contemplate God always; after all, He is always with you and nothing happens by accident
3. Pray unceasingly
4. Find a good Bible-believing church and NOT ONLY attend regularly, but try to establish relationships with other Christians, struggling just like you, yearning just like you, and feeling just like you
5. Read AWESOME books about God like ... The Purpose Driven Life
6. SEEK God's will and strive to do His work. Try to die to self and to live for Him. (Note: THIS is a life-long journey! IF you continue to grow in the spirit of the Lord, you will become more and more selfless and less and less selfish. This goes a long way toward strengthening your faith.)

Lord bless!

Quiet time every single day. Each and every day I start my day by soaking myself in the word of God. I read the Bible , studying and making notes. I started doing this in 2001 and have read it cover to cover 10 times since Sept.01 I have not missed a day since Sept . 01. No brag just fact. I do it to stay faithful to God. God is always faithful and so I try to be also to the best of my ability. Really it is not that hard to do. You just dont let anything deter you . If an emergency comes up I will do it as soon as possible afterwards. But since I get up early before anyone else I usually dont have any interuptions. After reading the word I pray. When I say amen I also try to never lose consciousness that God is standing by my side. In other words I try to stay in communion with God even though I am working or playing or whatever. Habitual communion with God is an awesome thing. It is very difficult and I am only sometimes able to stay in communion with him the whole day long . So many distractions. This is what I believe it means to "pray without cesaing" We must try to stay in habitual deep communion with God. Like Enoch walked with God , and Noah walked with God. The word in Hebrew does not just mean walk . It means continual habitual fellowship with God. When in my pickup truck and when working and where/when possible I listen to Christian talk radio programs and sewrmon tapes. This continues to help me stay in fellowship with God. In the evenings before going to sleep I usually read various religious papers, mailings, magazines, books and etc. Then I pray myself to sleep singing hymns to the Lord in my heart. I usually wake up still singing hymns in my heart. Sometimes I do it all day long. Also I fast when needed depending on what is going on and what I am praying for. Mostly I fast all day Friday before prayer meeting Friday nites. I also attend Church faithfully. The more you seek God the stronger your faith becomes. I am not saying all this to act like I am better than anyone else. This is the way I do it, and I by no means think that everyone should do what I do . What works best for you is the way to go. I am like Mary the sister of Lazarus who annointed Jesus with exspensive oil in the home of Simon the leper.... I have many many sins that are forgiven, and so I am very very gratefull and due to my gratitude I seek the Lord with all my heart. God bless you . Cap'n Arlo

Faith in God comes from inside. Until a person is ready to accept God then there is nothing that will make it stronger.

Ask for forgiveness often. Go to confession. Try to do better. Pray often, in good times and in bad. Open my Heart to what He may be telling me. Pray for and to have Him Bless other people, both here and those who have passed on. From my Heart, MInd, and Soul, I talk with Him often, as people do to one another. Saying certain prayers helps too. Saying the Rosary. Honor the 10 Commandments. Attend Church at least once a week. It all works together.

The basics are to pray and read the Bible and to do what it says in God's Word. But you have to read with understanding, you have to pray according to God's will and you have to do what God says with wisdom. That brings you back to reading the Bible where you can gain wisdom and learn about God's will for different situations in your life and the lives of those who are in your circle of care and influence.

John 7:16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. 17 If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.

When you step out in faith based upon the rock of God's Word properly understood and applied with knowledge then your faith grows as you see that God watches over his Word to perform it.

by believing him for small things and working your way up to bigger things. It's kinda like lifting weights! I'm serious. Keep a prayer Journal, ask him things and write it all down and date it. Keep doing this, first ask him what is his will? If you feel his will is to bless this person or that or help your mom not be so sad or whatever, pray it and write it down. as you see answers to your prayers happen it will build your faith.

your amount of faith is not something you can really control. Personally im an atheist, i would not recommend forcing yourself into believing more than you do. Accept whatever you feel and analyze why you feel the way you do so that you understand why you believe what you believe. Don't force beliefs unto yourself.
