There are many liberal scholars that would say that many of the Old Testament prophecies were written after the event that was prophecied took place. I am trying to come to grips with the reality of the Old Testament prophecies and believe so to speak, but this is just something that I have to know. What proof is there that validates the Old Testament books being written before the prophecied events took place. Please don't give me an answer like,"Well just believe." I just can't at this point. Faith is an important aspect, but I have some mind barriers that need to be cleared before the Truth can get to my heart :-). Help me out here guys. Thanks.

I heard this last night at a Bible study, and hear is what I thought later. Most of the people who go to church really are not saved, and are still going to hell. They think they are saved, but they haave been deceived. The religously unsaved will be harder to save, and they deceive others. Let me know if I'm wrong and why. Not just because God is a loving God, and will not let people go to hell because they thought they were doing the wrong thing.

I'm thinking nuclear war. It'll turn all the waters of the world into a bitter poison. Some people think it's an asteroid that hits the earth and contaminates the water supply.

Why do you use the KJV and other protestant bibles that have had books removed? Doesnt Revelations 22 forbid this? All protestant bibles are missing 7 important books from them.

Rev. 22: 18-19
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall aadd unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Treat them as insignificant and petty, and they will decay of their own accord. They survive merely off of the energy you provide them in adversity.

I asked because I met plenty of athiests who are good people with good hearts, help those in need, some are frinds I was in the military with. Some act like good Christians as far as their conduct and the way they treat people.

Me without God I think I would just do whatever I want, it Jesus that is helping me change my life around.

How do you guys do it on your own?

Why did Luther add the word "alone" to Rom. 3:28?
"man is justified by faith [alone] apart from works of the Law". Protestants believe that man is saved only by faith. But doesn't it say just the opposite in James 2:24? "You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone," and James 2:26
" . . . so also faith without works is dead,".
Why do Protestants believe in salvation sola fide?
Plus, since Luther added something to the Bible shouldn't that make him accursed as it says in Galatians 1:7-9?
". . . there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed." (KJV)
I'm not trying to answer my own question. Just trying to make you think. I'm really interested in what you have to say!

does anyone else wonder and hate how everyonce in a while christians get into this bad habit of backing up religion and god with science. when of one the main things theyre saying that most science is wrong. and whenever someone bring up some part of science that doesnt agree with religion they just say it doesnt apply.

that angers me! so much! thoughts?
