Okay, we'll all gather in the root cellar, lock the doors behind us, and turn off the lights. We have enough food down there for a few months...if we are lucky, they will have died of attention starvation by then!

Okay, first who is "them"?
Secondly, why are you giving them your power/energy anyway?
Life's too damn short to bother with turkeys except for the avian kind at Christmas and (for our US readers) Thanksgiving.
