i mean, if you support and spread love and peace, should it really matter?

personally, i think not.

i have read the bible.
i think jesus, whether he was alive or not, he seemed like a nice guy.
i know he spread love, and i think this makes him a very good person to listen to.

but i appreciate anyone who says that love is important, because that's very true.

and i don't believe we were born selfish. i was raised to share and love everyone, from the very start.

i liked the fact that jesus spread love and the idea of toleration, and that we should treat others how we would like to be treated.

but i don't need a god to tell me that, nor does anyone else.

Here's the things to consider before answering your great question.
Love is the only bridge which we can cross the barier of religions.
Love is a spiritual thing, NOT a religious thing.
Religion speaks about love, while spirituality acts on it.

The spirituality of love permeates everything, everytime, everywhere.
It does not know the differences, it does not recognize religions.
It does not bothered by the color, nor race, nor gender.
Love is the only thing that embraces us together.

Love is the embracing-all force of God.

He who does not love, does not know God.
He who loves, have known God.

No, what matters is your salvation. Religions are a dime a dozen - but there is only one faith. Anyone can spread love, but there has to be a place for that love to come from. God is love, and the Bible tells us His well of love will never run dry.

You do need God, and you do need a God to teach you about love. You said you liked Jesus' teachings - His teachings were about love. Why do you think the Son of God would bother to teach people about love, if they already know how to love? Why would he show us the 'ultimate love' (giving your life) if he thought people already knew. The point is, people don't know how to love and they/we need a counselor and guide. And those who believe in Jesus was givin that help, in the gift of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit teaches us how to live and love our neighbor as ourself.

While it is very good to spread love, here are a couple of things to consider -
- Jesus is the one that tells us to love our neighbors, so if He can come up with such good advice, isn't He worth listening too on everything else?
- We are natural pretty selfish and self -centered. Without some rules to live by and godly advice, how is the world going to know that we should love each other?

I didn't grow up a Christian. It was when I starting wondering about Bible prophecy that I became interested in reading and studying the Bible. I think it would be worth your time too.

first of all, i'm atheist, so right here this is from my standpoint. a million) Q: i ask your self why human beings obsess and combat over issues they might't administration. A: because of the fact this is human nature to be on top of problems with your individual destiny. human beings prefer to declare they are going to depart it to destiny/faith; what have you ever, yet they nonetheless prefer administration. 2) human beings might desire to concentration on the now, somewhat than the previous or destiny. I agree wholeheartedly. What we choose at present WILL result the following day, however the factor is, we learn from the previous so as that we aren't making the comparable blunders at present, so we are in a position to make sound judgements in the direction of the destiny. 3) Q: Does it remember the place we pass whilst we die? A: For non secular persons it does. there is that this place called Hades the place they don't prefer to pass. the place one will exist in suffering and melancholy for all eternity. not club Med, this is for particular. i'm happy i don't be afflicted by delusions like that. 4) If we attempt to be stable human beings then i don't think of it would remember who or what you worship. BINGO! Being a solid individual and having an excellent place in society does not require you to take a knee to pay homage to any diety. i'm no believer, whether it does not propose i'm a crappy person and neither are you. Believing in your self is what concerns maximum imo.

No, we are all humans and we all need the same things emotionally, psychologically, physically, and spiritually.

Some people have left the church they were raised in.
Some people don't belong to any church/religion but still believe in God, and still can spread good will through kind words, kind deeds/actions or generosity (time or money).

No, of course not.

Although...there will probably always be those that want people to believe them when they say that it's not the same love that THEY have and spread because THEY believe the right beliefs and you could never know the love THEY feel...

You lack one thing my friend, a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The Holy Bible says there is only one way to Heaven and that is to believe in Jesus. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no man cometh unto the Father but by me, John 14:6. Remember John 3:16, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Sin is our problem, the bible says we are all sinners, Romans 3:10, says As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: Romans 3:23,For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Jesus died on a cross and shed his perfect blood to cleanse us from all sin, when he arose from the grave he forever opened the door to all who will call upon his name and accept his free gift. Ephesians 2: 8-9 says, For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. If you would like to accept Christs free gift of salvation you can right now, just say this simple sinners prayer believing in Jesus, Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. If you have any questions just send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

Religion is a set of rules created to keep people in line through guilt and/or fear, You can be spiritual without being religious.
